Hello,
Just wanted to say this website is amazing, I read through a lot of other threads dealing with similar issues and it seems like everyone gives good non-condescending advice. Long story short I had sex with a girl a few weeks ago but with a condom. I've never had any unprotected sex, even with my previous gf. I did receive unprotected oral a few weeks ago and just now i've started to feel a slight burning when I urinate.
It isn't painful at all but just burns. Yesterday I noticed the tip of my penis was really sensitive near the opening of the urethra and it seemed like I had rubbed it against something which irritated it. This morning when i woke up there was some white "puss-like" discharge near the tip. I know this sounds like it might be chlamydia but I didn't realize it was so easy to catch from oral sex. I have some hope it might be a UTI like others on here but I'm really not sure. I am going to make an appointment to see my doctor in a few days but wanted to get some opinions from people on here first.
Thank you!
Jordan
Hi Jordan,
You can get Chlamydia from oral sex and your description fits pretty well. Not everyone has a discharge but it can occur. You had sex a "few weeks ago." Symptoms usually show in about 2-3 weeks.
It's actually better that you get tested sooner than later. It's easier to treat. UTI's are also possible.
A test is needed to determine what you have.
No sex, protected or not, until you have been checked and treated.
Good luck.

Thanks for the prompt reply Medic-Dan! If i'm positive for Chlamydia I know I'll be put on antibiotics but is that a complete treatment? Meaning, will it be completely removed from my system or does it just get rid of the symptoms like with herpes. Also, today I have no urge to pee every hour or so like i've been having to the past week. Does that narrow it down a little or is it still up in the air, i know testing is the best option of course but just to alleviate my worries! I'm still under my parents insurance and im 23 and im worried about the test showing up as Chlamydia and them receiving the results.
Chlamydia is a bacteria not a virus like Herpes. Antibiotics kill bacteria so it will be eliminated from your body completely. Antibiotics won't help with a virus and viruses can lie dormant for years.
Your healthcare provider should only provide the results to you. You are an adult.
It's still up in the air. If you saw discharge, and remember not everyone does, you still should get tested.
Play it safe. For you and your partner.
Good luck.

Did you ever find out what your problem was?
