i have been trying to loose weight for two yrs (since i had complete hysterectomy) and have been struggling.I am doing everything right calories, exercise, all of it but not loosing sometimes gaining and inches have not changed.started getting dizzy and blacking out 2 weeks ago and went to dr's,they said all was well bloodwork came back within normal ranges...but my thyroid was borderline low......thats all i heard. i need to know if this is why i am not loosing weight and what i can do about it. ?
An abnormal thyroid can cause weight problems. I had a friend who had a thyroid problem and she had a very difficult time losing weight that she had gained. Your thyroid plays a huge part in hunger/metabolism and things like that. You should definitely bring this to your doctor's attention because it can be dangerous if it goes untreated. My friend almost died because her doctor didn't catch it right away.
