I understand I'm in so much pain right now. I'm taking pain relievers. 500 milligrams (3) each. I can barely walk. I wish I would never. Had that surgery

Hi, did your pain stop? I had novasure November last year and have horrific pain every 2 weeks for about 3 days..the same as you describe. I have been given an injection to stop my ovaries working and put on hrt, but this is only a short term thing and so far has not made a difference anyway. I have been offered a hysterectomy if I want so am really wondering whether it's worth waiting to see if it gets better. Donna x

I had the ablation procedure in Sept. 2016. This is Feb. 2017 and I have excruciating pain during my period. I have nearly stopped bleeding during my "period" but the pain is worse than ever before. My ovaries feel like I have knives twisting and turning and my uterus is extremely swollen and cramps. This is not relieved by Ibuprofen or Tylenol. I wish I had never had the procedure. Any suggestions? I am afraid this will affect my work.

I had the ablation done 1.10.17 and I have had the worst side pains and have finally went though about 10 doctors and now seeing some specialist at Vanderbilt in Nashville TN . All they have been able to tell me so far is my right kidney isn't draining and it's swollen. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just started having these same issues three months ago and had the surgery 2years ago. I keep reading all these same issues from multiple Women but haven't seen anyone say if they found a actual cure to the problem. I mean one that actually works for sure.

I had a hysterscopy d&c with novasure on march 3rd i am 8 days post op as of today i wish i would ha e never had this procedure done i am living off noroc and motrin the first 3 days i felt a little crampy and low back pain i went back to work on the 4th day and thats when my pain really kicked in i felt like i was in labor . my doctor said to have my urine sent out i probley had a bladder infection 2 days later my urine results came back normal and at this point i am still in alot of pain i broke down. I was sent for a transvaginal ultrasound which showed free fluid all in my pelvis and was told that this is normal after the procedure and that i would have to cope with the pain and that sometimes this happens after this procedure with the free fluid. They were mostly concerned that fluid was in my tubes i had my tubes tied 2 years ago after my 3rd son. So i was placed on a strong dose of antibotics and have been living with a heating pad and taking pain meds. I hope that the pain subsides i have a family to take care of and a full time job i feel helpless and mad. I have read alot about post ablation syndrome but since there is no fluid in my tubes i dont think the doctors are too worried all i know is that i am in pain 24 hours a day and i really regret doing this procedure.

This is so very disheartening. I had the procedure in Oct. 2016, 5 months later the pain, which appears to come during what would be my cycle time, hurts like hell. I have 4 kids & a high tolerance for pain; however, 5 months later and these excruciating labor pains have yielded no kids. LOL... At least you get a kid after labor, this sh*t just hurts. When will it stop? No one has said that. If they won't see me in the office tomorrow, I'm going to the ER. Who can't stand this?

No no no no no!!!! The pain is worse than anything I've ever felt in my life, I'm waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up from work to go to the ER. I have always had bad cramps that got better after I had my son, but because I'm anemic and my cycle was extremely heavy it was recommended I have an ultrasound, they found cysts that were not cancerous. So even though I was 42 with a 22 year old, my little sister went through this a year prior & I told the doctor I wanted a hysterectomy, she refused, did the abalation instead & now honestly I would rather die than deal with this every month. I have Fibromyalgia, I'm used to pain, this is 1000x's worse.

The NovaSure (specifically), seems to have more problems with Asherman syndrome then other Endometrial Ablation technologies out there. The biggest problem with nova sure, is that post ablation within a few months to uterus seems to basically superglue itself together. So what can happen is when any bleeding might occur from the endometrium, instead of going out the cervix like normal, it goes retroactive through the fallopian tube's which causes severe pain.
