? thank you for being here i have pain in the top of my ear outside.. hotness turns hot excedrin helps i am taking 2000mg of augmentin xl for a sinus infection by an ent he also presc singulair, claritan, and flonaise i have a family hist of sinus i didn't take the other stuff b/c i read the side effects still have wisdom teeth impacted 57 yr old male high stress work but generally happy what is this ear pain ? in outer outside of ear and sort of down neck sometimes really bad helP!!!!!~

It still sounds like it is related to your sinuses, along with other allergies (throat). If your current meds for the infection are not working, you probably need something different. This happens all of the time. There are different medications that work better on some infections than others. If you have been taking the meds for two or three days without any relief, contact the ENT. I am sure that he will have other solutions. Take care and let us know how you are doing.
