I have suffered with ovarian cysts on my right side all my life and the only way it usually goes away is with birth control. Ever since I had my daughter 10 months ago I have a cyst that bothers me a week before my period. This month I had no pain before my period but two days after my period ended I have severe pain that radiates down my leg. I have been to the hospital before for this pain and they said it is just a functional cyst that is 2.8 cent. If it is so small than why do I have so much pain and why is the pain still there every month after being on bc for 3 months? I really just want to take the ovary out since I have had problems since I was 13 with cysts on the right ovary. I had a tubal ligation 5 months ago so I don't think I need that ovary or will there be health issues if it was removed?
