it really depends on the type of ovarian cyst. Some cysts pose no danger while some are polycistic for example, which makes it harder for women to conceive but there are many, many women who gave birth to healthy babies even though having PCOS.
Didn't your doctor say anything? If you haven't already, you should definitely get it removed.

Hi, few months ago I went to an OB and had TVS. The results showed that I have a parovarian cyst and corpus luteum. She said it is not necessary to remove them. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for almost six years now with no success. Will there still be a possibility to conceive given the two cysts mentioned above? The doctor said it is not really necessary to remove for now them since they're still small.

SO I CHANGED DRS CAUSE I DIDNT LIKE THIS ONE WELL IT TURNS OUT THAT I DID LOSE THE BABY BUT THE REASON I WAS HAVING SO MUCH PAIN IS CAUSE I HAD A CYST THAT IS 5CM... HOW DID THE FIRST DR NOT SEE THAT WHEN I HAD BEEN SEEING HIM FOR 6 MONTHS AND HE HAD DONE SO MANY SONOGRAM'S ITS PISSED ME OFF CAUSE THATS Y I LOST THE BABY... Hi i have poly cystic ovarian syndrome i am 26 years old and have had 3 miscarriages but have a beautiful 18 months old daughter. It is possible to get pregnant when you have PCOS but can be hard if you have PCOS it is recommended to have your hormones checked because PCOS can make it difficult to conceive or to carry. I told my OBGYN that i didnt want to take hormones and if it was god's will i would get pregnant 6 months later i got pregnant with my daughter and had a hard pregnancy but carried her to term. Good luck

I may have been an unusual case, but I had an ovarian cyst which did go away without surgery. Had to have an injection and go on antibiotics, but that took care of it. Maybe unusual, I don't know, but not impossible.

I also am 24 years old, I have been marrid for three years, and am still not able to concive, 2 and a half years ago I was diagnosed with a cyst in my right ovary, the doctor said it wasnt a big deal...I just had a regular check up,,not for my cyst thought,,eveything seemes fine...But in our nationality if there is a problem with having a baby they always blame the women, never the men at all..My husbands family is uneducated and they have to ask constently when are we going to have a baby, and they already know that we are having trouble conciving, I love babies but honestly the only reason I want one right now is because everyone around me is expecting me too, and my husband wants one as well, I could care less if we didnt have one for at least another 2 years . We both are very young and still have time, but my husbands family is just killing me with their immature words...I have regular periods, I just started taking Prenatal vitamins that I bought at wal-mart about 2 months ago, the first month I had a little bleeding, but it was very little, and most of it was BROWNISH, and some like regular blood but very little,, so I thought I was pragnant but Nop, I have done a lot of reasearch out there on the internet, some people scare me to death, some give me hope ....TALKING to my doctor is very hard for me, I dont know y, and Im terrified that there could actually be a bigger problem and we might not be able to concive ever...

After seeing both an ob/gyn and a fertility specialist, I can tell you that they both say there should be no problem conceiving with cysts. I am usually in possesion of at least one cyst of grape fruit size on either ovary at all times. We have been trying to become pregnant for over 2 years. Up until the begining of this year my husband also had fertility issues that got in the way. From all doctor points of view we should be good to go now that his have been brought under control. I know it is frustrating and it seems like "always the bridesmaid" but it will happen! Just let nature do its thing because while you may think you are ready, your body knows when you truly are. Relax cause the stress you are feeling isn't helping it happen any faster!Good luck everyone!

It is possible to get pregnant with an ovarian cyst, but it's very VERY dangerous. It could possibly kill the child. The best thing to do would be to have it surgically removed. Ive had them for over three years. My doctor put me on birth control so they would shrink, stay shrunk, and to make the pain stop. But thats obviously not an option if youre trying to concieve. But if you're looking to lower the pain, try birth control.
