Ovulation is the process in which a fertile egg is released from one of the ovaries and it happens roughly in the middle between two periods. When woman is ovulating she is in her fertile days - this is the only time she can stay pregnant. So, start of ovulation is about two weeks since the first day of the last period, so it is considered that women is most fertile for about 2-3 days some twoo weeks after the start of her last period.
