My husband had a vasectomy 10 days ago and is still in pain. After about 6 days the swelling went down mostly but they are still a little discolored, especially on the right testicle. He feels better in the morning but after a day on his feet he starts to hurt again. Most of our friends who had this done recovered within a week. I dont know what is normal so I dont know if we should be worried. I see some people saying they hurt for weeks but then there is no follow up. Did they eventually get better. I just need to know what to expect.
I was in pain for 3-4 weeks. Then thing settled backdown but it wasn't a walk in the park like most say. I would not be worried, no one heals the same.
As every man in diferent, every vasectomy is different as well. Normal recovery period is 4-6 weeks, some time longer.

I had a vasectomy 5 days ago and it was very painful, like my nuts were pulled out of me, i had a mark on my hand for 3 days from biting on it, but now my right testicle still hurts and the wound is swollen and painful, left is ok.
