I know this is a bit late, but have You found an answer to your problem? I am facing the exact same discomfort as You are describing.
Dear no.2 your symptoms are indicating that you have congestive prostaitis. Keep remember that congestive prostatis is not a health illness.

Hi i was diagnosed with ic about a year or two ago. I would have uti every month. Finally i wemt to a urologist and they tested me and diagnosed me with ic. What they gave me was medicine i had to take 3 times a day to make sure that i did not get an infection. It was called Elimeron. It did help. If you have symptoms of a uti and get one like more than 3 times a year then u need to see a urolofist stat. I hated flare ups. And now being pregnant i get them non stop so they have to figure out a safe medicine for pregnancy.
I had double sling surgery when I was 39. Transvaginal mesh bladder lift and also a sling in my urethra for incontinence (2 10 lbs babies and sports all thru my life didn't help). I have had UTI's since I was 16 and I am now 47. The surgery really helped with the heavy weight of my bladder at the end of the day. My UTI's don't come near as often but I have terrible urethral pain that I have gone to my surgeon for a couple of times. It comes and goes.....getting off of my feet helps a bunch but who can go and lie in bed when they want?? If I squat it takes the pressure off of my urethra and I told my surgeon that if I could squat all day I would be in good shape. He treated me for pelvic floor disorder which I do believe I have...... the muscles that go thru the bladder area get sore quite a bit.....nightmare!! Of course I drink a half a cup of coffee with caffeine and a pop usually.....double whammy for the bladder caffeine & carbination!! It is a delight I can't seem to give up and yes even if I drink water ALLLLL day it still does not seem to take away????? I have nitrofurintron antibiotics (low dose) & pyridium (which i believe is the same as Azo) just not cutting it. HELP!! My husband get frustrated with me but is patient if you know what I mean!!
Hello Ladies, I have read all your symptoms and had just about all of the same with sensitivity around where I pee and pain walking around, in that area, and the bladder. After all the tests and ultrasound they couldn't find anything wrong. I'm 68 and was then given Estriol cream to insert into my vagina and to apply some all around the outer areas. After 2 weeks everything was feeling miles better and now a month on, all symptoms have gone. It seems that low estrogen can affect the bladder. Many of you don't say how old you are, but maybe we all might suffer some estrogen depletion, whatever our age.
I'm 17 and I was diagnosed with a uti, I was given antibiotic and even after I finished it, I still have this urge to pee when I sit. When I get up it feels a bit better but the urge is still there. I went back to the doctor and then diagnosed with a dry uterus. After drinking large amounts of water and still having the urge to pee get worse, I'm at an end on what to do. I don't know how to get rid of this because I want to pee so bad but it's every minute. If someone could tell me what I have or what to do to make it stop, it would really help
Anyone found out what this is I have had this 8 weeks no uti no stones .
I know this is old but did you get any answers?
I'm a 34 year old female with the same problem. I have a history of UTI's. After my last UTI, the symptoms never went away so I searched for a natural remedy and learned about colloidal silver. I mix a few drops in my water and the inflammation leaves within one hour. It works miracles for me. You can purchase it at the vitamin shoppe for about $10 to $20. I hope this helps!!!
Try colloidal silver, it really helps me Alot!!!! Mix one teaspoon in a 8 oz glass of water everyday and it keeps the pain away. For more information just google"colloidal silver for inflammation", there's tons of info on it. Hopes this helps!!!
I have had recurrent cystitis since I first became sexually active at the age of 18. I am now 65! For many years I only got it a couple of times a year (always an E. coli infection, despite being scrupulously clean and trying every home remedy in the book – cranberry was useless. ) I always experienced extreme pain when urinating with it, plus feverishness and feeling quite ill. But the burning pain – "peeing broken glass" was the worst.
A year ago I had a procedure to dilate the urethra (DIN) because I was having to urinate increasingly frequently and it was becoming difficult – the flow was getting slower and slower plus I becoming embarrassingly "leaky" as well and I was getting cystitis every other month. Gradually over the last 5 years the frequency of cystitis attacks has worsened.
After the op I was able to urinate more freely, but within a month I had another bout of cystitis. This time however the pain seemed to be be nearer the "outside"... I told the doc and was given antibiotics as usual. I was so upset as the op hadn't helped at all... infact I now seemed to have a really sore urethra on the outside on top of everything else.
I googled like mad.. and found a blog by a lady who had "Urethral Syndrome", and she advocated an alkaline mineral regime. Basically 1000mg per day of magnesium oxide, 1000mg potassium citrate and 1000mg calcium carbonate.
I found products in my pharmacy which contained the required minerals and worked out the dosage to get the required among of each mineral.. taking the tablets and pot. cit liquid three times a day.
This worked like a dream! The pain disappeared, the inflammation reduced and I managed to go almost 6 months without a visit to the doctor. However I did get another attack eventually, but as soon as I finished the antibiotics I went right back on the mineral regime. This seems to have worked pretty well up til now.
I developed a really bad acute cystitis attack out of the blue last week, and am currently taking Ciprobay... but my urethra is burning all the time and I can't take urinary alkalisers with this particular antibiotic. Not nice.
I can totally sympathise with these poor ladies who are experiencing the recurrent symptoms of cystitis and urethritis...the doctors don't seem to be able to help in cases like ours. But using the alkaline regime really can help to a large extent. It does mess one's sex life up. Fortunately my marriage now doesn't involve sex...which is a relief for me, but when we were younger I used to take citro soda afterwards for the next few days and hope I didn't get an attack. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. But I wish I had known about the alkaline regime earlier, i think it might have saved me from a lot of suffering!

Hi I'm just wondering if this ever went away? I have had exactly the same symptoms for the last 7 months. Ct clear, ultrasound clear, STI clear, seeing my urologist next week to see what else can be done.
My urine cultures came back clear, however the private one I sent off showed small traces of E. coli, I have been taking D-mannose four times a day for the last three months, this has made a huge difference however I do have times where I feel like I'm back at the beginning and in pain again.
I would love to know if this cleared up for you, would give me some hope.
Thanks. :-)
