Most recently it has come back for the past 6 weeks after I stupidly took a bath every day for a week, then developed what felt like a UTI so I stupidly prescribed myself 2 different antibiotics which only made it worse.
SO: at this point in time, I think it could be a yeast infection that is resistant to the first-line azole antifungal meds.
My obgyn doc thinks it might be shingles.
For the next 2 weeks, I will be shoving boric acid suppositories (to treat any yeast or bugs) up my cooch twice a day, plus taking Zovirax pills 3 times a day (treat shingles).
I will keep you all updated.
I will keep
This came to a major shock / confusion towards what actually caused my pain. I tried thinking of anything I did different, and it came to me. IT WAS MY UNDERWEAR. ever since I started dating my boyfriend, I always wore nylon underwear (big mistake). I honestly NEVER thought nylon would cause as much pain as it did. So far i’ve not had any burning what so ever! so i urge anyone who has similar symptoms, buy new underwear! (preferably cotton) and see if it helps. don’t be doubtful - it’s worth a shot.
So I thought I had a UTI because of the symptoms ; urge to pee but only a little comes out, after I pee there is some kind of discomfort. I went to get it tested not from culture, and they said it was a UTI, but once they sent it to culture it came back as a negative. I had pills and took them before I knew that it came back as a negative. I only take the pill to stop the pain but I still feel discomfort, and after I pee once I stand up it feels like a burning feeling. I’m looking for any tips or anything
I suffered for years with this problem in my twenties and early thirties until I found the right urologist. Because the urine cultures were negative I was usually not taken seriously when I tried to explain how excruciating my problem was. It ruined my sex life and subsequently my marriage. The new urologist I found was amazing. He did a full work up to rule out obvious problems. My symptoms were treated as chronic, was given prophylactic treatment and we tried various medications until we found a winning recipe. Thereafter I would self diagnose and only have to see him every six months to renew my script. He literally saved my life as he was the first doctor to believe me and to take enough interest to continue to help me after determining I had no obvious physical symptoms. Don't give up and keep looking for the right doctor. It is so worth it and will save you years of misery. I had no idea there were so many women suffering from this until I stumbled onto this site. I hope this helps some of you. Don't let them send you away ever again just because you have a clear urine test. Your pain is real and it is you who has to insist on being heard.
I have the same thing, going to dr now.
In the past I have read that the uti antibiotics kill off oxalobacter making us unable to digest oxalates as well. So they burn when they come out like mini fiber glass pieces. I just wanted to add to try a non oxakate diet. Not even just a low oxakate diet, try to eliminate them almost completely for a few days to see if it helps. It has helped me before twice with this exact problem. But this time my urethra is so irritated even just touching water I think there is damage/scar tissue and inflammation.
Also, chdck to see if you may have interstitial cystitis, pelvic inflammatory disease. Visit the American Urological Association to see if any research there could help you.
I've found that oxalates make everything worse, that's chocolate, spinach and some nuts for you (I think, I may also be projecting on an attempt to make sense of everything). Every once in a while I get sore on my back and usually around that time my symptoms come back/worsen.
One of my theories is that I also pee strongly sometimes and maybe the kidney stones scratch the urethra- it does feel like a paper cut and like on it. I'm thinking like sand paper it might irritate...
Anyway oxalates help form kidney stones and there's also kidney stone "sand" that can basically sand blast right? Also being constipated makes everything 100x worse.
Maybe this helps maybe it doesn't. For some reason walking every day really helps too.
Good luck, we all need it.
