Hi
I don't know if all this is related, but here is short history. I am a 47 yr female, very obese, non smoking, had partial histerectomy 15 yrs ago.
I had a gall bladder opp in Oct’ 06. 8 Wks after I woke up with immense pain in my right hip, I could barely move, specialist found nothing wrong and pain injections eased the pain and it went away.
About 2 mths ago, I noticed the feeling of numbness and pain in my right leg. (Sometime in left as well, not as severe and longlasting). It started in upper leg, outside and back, but is now in my outside calve and ankle as well. It is very bad, I get it while I sit and stand and also when walking. My leg just suddenly goes weak and feels as if it will collapse under me. Or else it just aches like hell, coming and going.
I also suffer extreme pain in my left arm, from elbow to shoulder.
Since my gallbladder op I have constant diarrhea. I also get hot flushes and sweat streams down my body. I am very tired all the time, get waves of dizziness and shooting headaches left side.
I take tablets daily to control diarrhea, pain tablets and BP tablets.
I want to buy an exercise bicycle, but I don't know if that is going to make everything worse or better.
Could anyone kindly suggest a remedy or offer advice please. Thanks.
i am wondering what was the answer to your question. I have some of your symptoms just recently and i am thinking about paying a visit to the emergency room. I have only in the front part of my leg, a pain that occurs from time to time. Some months ago, the pain was almost everyday, then without warning it disappeared. Now since maybe the end of august it has appeared again, first i thought it was just a passing pain, now i notice it often. I cant say for sure when the pain first appeared, but i do remember, having enormous pain in that same leg a couple of years ago. And it lasted for a long time, no matter what i did it was there. It actually felt better when i would stand. I felt tingling, and numbness in that leg too. I went to the doctor and they saw nothing for sure, except that it might be my sciatic nerve inflamed. So, i was given some pain medication, and some muscle relaxers, which i only took at night because they made me so sleepy. Eventually, even the muscle relaxer stop working, and i felt the pain all the time. Then all of a sudden i notice the throbbing sensation, had become less. And almost like that stop altogether. For about a year there was know pain in that leg, and i was relieved. Now, even though i dont have that throbbbing pain like before, i still feel a pain there from time to time and im wondering could this be a blood clot that wasnt caught before. The numbness had stayed around even after the numbness had left, but it was very vague. Mow i notice that more too. Do any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? And i would like to know what was the outcome of your medical problem. Even though i am overweight for my height i am not considered obese. I am 41 years od, and my job does consist of standing up alot during the day. Any explanation would be great.
