Four months ago I had Laparoscopy to remove an ovarian cyst size 7 cm on left ovary and 5cm on right ovary, before the surgery I had occasional painful periods (very painful) but not every month, now after the surgery every month during my period I am in pain scale 1 to 10 about 7, when before it was 5 (10 being the most painful). I don't know what to do, I do not like to take pain OTC medication every single month, but it completely changes my mood when I am in pain, I don't want to do anything but lay on my bed, I am cranky and irritated because of the pain. I read one lady who posted something similar that she waited 6 months to see if it would stop, recommended by her doctor, but after it didn't happen she took for 3 months birth control pill and the pain was gone after that, I am considering doing what this lady did, I'd like to know how does the pill help with the pain, I don't have healthcare so going to the doctor its a bit difficult with the fees they have for non-insured patients. I would like to know if anyone else had the same problem and what was their solution. Thank you.
