Pain in lower right abdomen during intercourse

im 43 and having had 3 kids. after my 3rd child 13 years ago i was informed i had a tilted womb. this may be the cause of my discomfort during sex. speculation and nothing proven. still get the pains but nothing else wrong with me.

hey, i also get this problem, feels like the pain is right in the middle of my stomach, but as soon as we change position, or stop altogether, the pain stops for me... i dont particularly want to have to go to a doctor about it, however im only 20 and it is completely ruining mine and my partners sex life, let me know if any1 has found out the cause! thanks

Hey so I am 20 and I have a very active sex life with my husband. But when we start having sex I get a sharp stabbing pain in my middle to left side of my lower ab. I have had these pain for about 3 years but tonight they were ten times sharper. It even put me in to tears and my husband thought he did something wrong. I have not seen a doc about this cuz I always figuered it had to do with ovulating. But after tonight I thought I would look it up online and see what it might be. Thats when I found this. It seems odd that we all have the same pains. I have tryed all different postions to see if that was the problem. and it was not. I am scared it means I cant have a baby we have been trying for a year with no resalts. I was woundering if this could be why. I am plaining on seeing a doc next week. my family also has a history of cirvical cancer and I am thinking that might be it. I have been texted for STD's UTI'S and cancer all come up neg but they told my mom for 2 years that she did not have cancer and it turned out she did. If anyone can HELP please do. I am very very scared. Thanks

I have/had this problem too. I think it is due to endometriosis. I had surgery to reprove some of the deposits around the area. That was about four years ago and it is starting again!! I am worried I may have to repeat the process. The only way to know for sure if you have endometriosis is surgery so it is not really an easy fix but maybe something to ask your doctor about.

Hi there everyone. That mysterious pain on the right side, yep, it's happened to me also. Twice now. The first time i tried to ignor it, but this time i just couldn't. It's very discomforting and to make it even stranger, for me atleast, i've missed my monthly. I've narrowed it down to just a few thing's mostly, ovarian cyst or maybe an ectopic pregnacy. I have an appointment with my gynocologist tommorow so i'll be sure to keep you guys updated. Wish me luck.....%-)

Hi I am facing a similar kind of problem .pain in lower right abdomen during intercourse ,im newly married and having sex for the first time,i still dont know how good it feels while having sex ,m having to face this problem. My situation is very similar except I have 3 small fibroids. Sex used to be still enjoyable but now I catch myself holding my breathe waiting for the thrusts because each one causes me a pain filled blow to the lower right abdomen.

I've been having the same problem for 6 months. It was never an issue , then out of no where sex hurts. I had 2 exams by different drs, ultra sounds, blood tests, std tests and all come back fine. I do have a tilted uterus but I always have. I'm 27 and been with the same person for 6 years. I hope someone gets some answers soon. This is an awful way to live.

I too have had this pain start just as I climaxed the pain hit in my lower right side. I would love to find out if anybody finds out what is causing this. I realize that the answer may not be the same for all cases.

I should add that I was not having intercourse, so penetration to the vagina from my husbands penis was not a factor.

okay, i want to say that its just because ive only had intercourse three times, but i just get really sharp pains if im on top or on my back with my legs up. We don't do anything crazy esp because its my third time. but it just hurts REALLY bad and i don't think i need to see a doctor ...maybe just not have sex for a while? idk..help.

this is so depressing, i cant even find a full out answer or no ones replying back to this thread about what happened to them. i have the same problem, except i did have two c-sections. after the first one, i had no problems. now for the second time around, i have pain in the lower right side of the abdomen during intercourse.......... doctors cant figure whats up, one doctor even suggested i was mentally disturbed or soemthing and that i was making it up-- quite obviously that guy wasn't much of a doctor!!! loser-- and....... i know i'm perfectly well mentally haha, and not making it up. cant figure out whats up........... anyone care to help?

I have had all of the above symtoms for 9 years now. (all the comments symtoms) I have had ultra sounds, ct scans, laparoscopy surgery, hystoscopy surgery, had 2 letts procedures, several blood tests 3 speacialists, and a barium enima. No one can find anything wrong, but atleast I can say that it's not just me suffering the same thing. But NO WOMAN should feel pain when having sex it's not natural, so even though I may not have found the answer to my pain yet, you might find the answer to yours. Wishing you luck.
