Hi everybody. I'm Austin and I just recently turned 16 and been having a problem ever since I could get an erection. I try to fold the loose skin on the head of my penis back and when I do it hurts really bad. I don't know what it is but I'm very scared in the future I won't be able to have sex. And when fold the skin back until it hurts, I touch the head and it's really sensitive and stings. Please anybody reply back and tell my how I can fix this and be a normal man. Because right now I don't feel normal. Thank you so much guys. Peace ✌️
Hi Austin,
It is NORMAL for your glans, the head of your penis, to be very sensitive. Your foreskin has kept the nerves protected all your life and they aren't used to being touched.
Can you expose the glans fully - as in fully retract your foreskin?
It's completely normal for your head to be very sensitive so if it hurts too much, don't do that.
Is this what hurts when you fold the loose skin back? Again, if it is, don't do that. It's not mandatory to have your foreskin back so we only do that if we like the way it feels and obviously you don't.
Now if you WANT to be able to touch your bare head, which a lot of us find very pleasurable, you need to make it get used to being touched by touching it. It works best to wash it with just water and let it dry so your fingers don't stick to it as you move them on it. It will still be quite sensitive but you will get used to it and begin to like it. At first, if you can find some soft fuzzy cloth you can touch it with that.
When I was your age mine was very sensitive too but I found that it was much less so when it was dry. Mine was a little tight and it would get stuck behind the head when I masturbated, usually in bed before going to sleep. I would just leave it there and usually it would be back in place in the morning when I woke. But sometimes it would still be back and the head would be exposed and dry. I found when that happened I could touch the head and it felt quite nice so eventually I started drying it out on purpose before I played with it.
