Hi. I'm a woman and I've had this same problem since I was a teenager. Its from too much neck/shoulder tension during masturbation. Once it was so bad that my mom took me to the chiropractor and he confirmed it was a severely pulled neck muscle radiating pain into the base of my skull. I was too embarrassed to admit the cause but after taking it easy for a few weeks it got better. Now I just have to be aware of how tense I get and what position I'm in. My best advice is when you start to feel the pull stop, take a couple deep breaths, and find a new position if you intend to continue.

What does rash means with respect to shoulder & neck pain. Can you suggest me anything that could help me improve my posture or help me not strengthening muscles. I strictly need it !!
Or any way to cure the pain earliest, since usually it takes 2-3 days to get normal & still the pain sensation can be felt every second. Please help.

It happened to me recently too. This is a sexual headache. It happens because your brain gets too exited/you take somw medications that infuence this, and occurs during sex in general, not just masturbation. I am not sure what to do though, I just didn't masturbate for a while and it went away.

It is a sexual headache. Google it. It's not uncommon and can be treated.

I have the same thing when I come. I am a female though. As I am climaxing, the pain is in the shoulder and back of my left shoulder. It feels like my veins are pulsing in the area too. It goes away after 15 seconds too. What could it be?

I am going to go with this. I have COPD and thought blood gas might be a factor, but it hasn't changed with that. I definitely drink not enough water though.. like none. Just coffee and diet ginger ale. Also, the attack comes more often with orgasm, but not exclusively with orgasm. Sometimes (rarely) it comes on with no apparent cause at all.. lasts a few seconds to a few minutes then is gone. While it lasts, it is totally disabling.

It is not the same for everyone, and not -all- of these cases are 'sexual.' I occasionally get the disabling, pulsing pain in the back of my neck up to the back of my skull, while sitting idle, reading. I LIKE technical texts but they do not excite me, so it isn't that. =). I am ancient and rarely bother with orgasms, but I will get these attacks far more often than not when I do. I am almost certain the issue comes from dehydration (in may case, anyway,) and my doctor seems completely unconcerned about it.
