Same as everyone else. Went to the ENT doctor. He said everything looked normal and The most common issues are acid reflux or allergies. For acid reflux he said to not eat 2-3 hours before bed so the stomach acids don't cause a problem in the throat. If that doesn't work after 3 weeks, try an over the counter acid reflux medication. If that doesn't work, try an allergy medication for 3 weeks. If none work, come back and see him for CT scan, etc..

I have been having this same issue. Pain in the left side of my neck, were my pulse is located. It only hurts, to the touch, when I press deep/hard. If I'm looking straight ahead or to the left it doesn't hurt but if i turn my head to the right it hurts. They're are no other associated symptoms. The dr has looked at my throat and my ear (sometimes it feels like it has radiated into my inner ear) but everything is always normal. It will go away and then weeks later it will return, same as before. It really doesn't cause my any problems just kinda of worrisome.

I'm having the same issue, I have thyroid nodules on both sides, the larger one was biopsies a year ago, it was benign. The other side is much smaller, but I think it's pressing on a nerve or something because I feel slight soreness in my throat when turning my head and swallowing. I also have bad pnd, which probably contributes to it. I have a follow up soon and hopefully I can get something done about it.

Hello, I am Rachael. I'm turning 16 in a few months and I have the same exact pain. Everytime I talk, move my head and swallow I have a really bad pain in my right side of my throat. This has been like this for a few weeks now and I'm really worried as to what this might be. I am scared that it might be something serious... If it gets worse, I might end up going to the doctors or the hospital. I have NO idea what this might be

Guys, I have been having throat pain on the right side and chronic cough (only when I speak) for few months. Did everything (Blood, X-Ray, CAT) - everything normal. Doctors tried usual suspects (Asthma - Albuterl/Fovent) and GERD/Silent Acid Reflux (Prilosec) etc. However, recently met a fantastic doc, who looked at everything carefully and said I dont have either Asthma or GERD. He said, my chronic cough and throat pain is due to allegies which is causing mucus to form and slowly drain into throat (post-nasal drain) and causing all the problems. He has advised 3 things and have already started seeing improvements (a) rinse nasal pathways (neti pot and other solutions available like NeilMed-- you can google it) (b) Take anti-histamine nasal spray like Azelastine (c) Zyrtec as needed - I started with once in evening. Amazed at results!

Hi,
I am also experiencing something of what you are experiencing. I am 16; hurts to talk, swallow, move head in a certain positions. Ear hurts doing all of those.

I have this also. I think it is aggivated by having our heads forward and also down or leaning down and to one side texting, scrolling the internet, and sitting at computers. We need to change these postures but it is very hard since we use electronics at work all day and after work as well. Hope we can recover. My voice has been altered by this situation

We are ruining our necks from looking down at our cell phones. This is causing complications in breathing, swallowing, talking and sleeping. It is painful.
Hope we all recover by changing our cell phone and electronic use.

I have had similar issues with my throat and right side of the neck muscles for about 12 months, only noticed symptoms after a severe virus which attacked my throat followed by severe neck spasms in the same side 12 months ago... coincidence!? I'm positive this was the main cause but after seeing so many docs and having blood tests, ultrasounds, scope down the throat and x ray nothing can be found and everything's normal. But I still get discomfort and pain on and off Hmm? Maybe I just damaged muscles or nerves during the spasms/virus.
