I have had stomach problems since this past Christmas. It started with some really bad attacks on the right. Family doctor suspected gallbladder, gave me buscapan to deal with the attacks and books tests. Test revealed enlarged gallbladder, but the radiographic test revealed normal passage of bile through bladder. Surgeon says enlarged gallbladder does not mean anything. I am booked for colonostomy and down the throat at the same time on June 30. I have not had attacks due to high fat foods. It IS in my family and my mother says she never reacted to foods, just didn't feel good. I have constant pain, feels like a knife stabbing me at times...any advice? Thanks, Moja :)

Hi, they will be doing a coloscopy and down the throat test end of June. The pain on the right has improved and my attacks have diminished. Very strange. I know two people in my town that I know who have had the same thing..the attacks, the pain from right to left, etc. ... then it finally went away..a virus? I know that something was going on as it was bad, I lost a lot of weight and was pretty sick. Hope your wife gets her answer.
