Ive had pain like this my doctor told me it is costochondritis
I have exact thing so painful on waking but feels better when I get up walk around and sorry but release a bit of gas
I figured out what it was and how to keep it gone. In my case it's psoriatic arthritis. I have to do two things to keep it at bay: #1 I eat according the Terry Wahls' "paleo plus" diet (minus nightshades and fermented foods--I don't tolerate those), and #2 I had to address some chronic infections. Most chronic infections are in the gut (could be painful teeth or root canals in the mouth or farther down the digestive tract could be H. pylori, giardia, blastocystis, cryptosporidium, etc). Eating the diet made the pain and stiffness very tolerable, then I had root canals removed which immediately reduced my arthritis to almost nothing, and then getting a parasite test and treating everything that showed up completely got rid of the pain. But if I stray from the diet now the pain returns at a low level in my low back. The diet and addressing the past chronic infections also helped my other autoimmune diseases.
Costochondritis is a temporary condition, a result of straining the connective tissues in the rib cage by coughing or something. If it's chronic it is definitely not costocondritis.
Thank you so so much for this information. God bless you!
