My husband suffers fatique, painful red, dry eyes each time he leaves his workplace. I believe it's an allergy to the fluorescent lighting yet no doctor can confirm this. He has been to several doctors, gone through numerous 'tests' and the results show there's nothing wrong!!! He feels better on Saturdays and almost good on Sundays (no fluorescent lights at home) but then it starts again on Monday. Are there any 'cures', anything he can do to feel better at work? Help please! The poor man has had enough but cannot afford to leave his job. Thank you.

When you say that he has visited several doctors do you mean regular doctors or he was sent to the ophthalmologist? I can’t believe that no one could determine what is wrong with his eye sight and that doctors ignored such an obvious thing as sensitivity to the bright light. That is what would I say and I am not a doctor.

It has been a while since you have posted this question so I believe that by now you and your husband have resolved it and everything is fine now or at least you have find out what was wrong. Would you like to share with us his experience because it is very unusual and if the doctors finally have discovered what is wrong I would like to know. Thank you in advance.

This sounds like it could be Lupus. It is rare for men to have it, but florencent lights can trigger symptoms like dry eyes, headache, and fatigue.
