I had pancreatitis caused by gallstones about five weeks ago. I had an endoscopy and laposcopic surgery to remove the gall bladder. My question is how long does it take the pancreas to fully recover after the enzyeme count is back to normal and will I have any problem post recovery with the pancreas? Can I return to a normal lifestyle?
You should have no problems as long as the pancreas is not damaged or diseased. You should return to a normal life style within 6 to 8 weeks after the surgery. Just remember to exercise regularly and eat a well balanced diet high in fiber. You should live a long and healthy life. :-D

That should be based on the treatment. If you are getting proper treatment, that will be cure you soon.
