My son is 9 years old and has been diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. He has had (2) pancreatic attacks one at age 7 and 9. His lipase and amylase counts were over 3000. He also tested positive for a mutaion on his CF gene. The sweat test was negetive and the MRCP and ERCP found nothing wrong. I have not had another appointment with his gastroligist since the test results came back and don't unitl Dec. I have been researching the web and found he probalby has atypical CF, which is attacking his pancrease. I would appreciate any information on this topic.
