Hi,so I had a panic attack while smoking weed and it was horrifying. Im not a smoking type of person but once in a while I do here and there. Today I was with my boyfriend who does smoke regularly and I took some. I may have done too much but I thought Imma just get high like other times and just laugh it off. This time it wasn't the case. I started getting anxious and felt my hear beating faster than normal like it would just explode out my chest. I looked for my bf cause if I didn't find and hug him I was gonna pass out but it didn't help. I then went to my other in law who was helping me but then I just started crying and wanted to call my mom cause at some point I felt like I was about to die and I just wanted to hear my mothers voice one last time. My mother in law put my phone under the pillow and dint want me to call my mom cause she said I would just worry her and get my boyfriend into trouble but when she said that I started panicking even more because I just wanted my moms voice to calm me down. This whole feeling eventually passed and I fell asleep. I think this time the weed was mixed with someone else. My boyfriend was kinda mad at me and was also being an ass to me saying what will your mom think of me now. He and his mother were just worried about themselves. Do you guys think they are toxic? Also be cautious when smoking weed that experience was the closest I ever felt to dying.

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a scary experience with smoking weed. It's important to note that everyone reacts differently to cannabis, and for some people, it can cause anxiety or panic attacks. It's also possible that the strain of cannabis you consumed was more potent than what you were used to.
It's important to have people in your life who are supportive and caring, especially during difficult moments. If your boyfriend and his mother were more concerned with their own reactions to the situation rather than your well-being, that may be a cause for concern.
It's also important to have open and honest communication with your loved ones about your experiences and how they can support you. If you feel like your boyfriend and his mother were not supportive during this experience, it might be worth having a conversation with them about how you would like to be supported in the future.
Finally, if you decide to use cannabis in the future, it may be helpful to start with a small amount and to have someone you trust with you in case you experience any negative effects. Remember, it's always okay to say no to something that doesn't feel right for you.
