I'm in high-school and am sexually active. My boyfriend and I use protection.
Recently I found out, after a trip to the gyno, that there is a strip (about half a finger long) of my hymen that's still attached. My gyno perscribed me estrogen cream, but I am unsure of the exact location of this portion of my hymen, and am a little hesitant to use it. (I'm on another medication for BV right now, and I know I can use both at the same time, but even my gyno said the cream most-likely wont work for me).
At my appointment my gyno even said she could do the procedure for removing it in the office (since it was easy and it would be more strenuous to go to an actual hospital and get it done) but I had other plans that day so I declined.
What I'm really worried about is the anestesia. I'm not sure if in my case I actually need to be knocked out (I've never been on it before and my mother has had some bad reactions to it) or if I just need some sort of numbing shot/gel.
Should I try the estrogen cream, or just go get the surgery and get it over with?

Your doctor wouldn't offer it to you to do it immediately than and there if it needed general anesthesia - for general anesthesia you do need some basic blood-work done before the procedure, especially considering that your mother had a bad reaction to it. So, I suggest you to phone your gyno's office and ask to make double sure, but the procedure is most likely done with local anesthetic.
