Hey my name is Mike. I'm only 21 but think the only way to save my sex life and mental health is to get an implant (probly 3 piece AMS LX). I'm in college and not being able to have sex is killing me slowly.

My penis function went downhill for about 2 years, first it was just cold and firm in the flaccid state, working only with viagra and cialis, and as of 4-5 months ago stopped working correctly all together even with drugs. (Years ago I stupidly did steroids, thyroid meds, various penis stretches, jelquing as i though things were not sufficient when all along I was fine.I dont know which thing did the damage and have spend years trying to figure out. All I know is my penis has gotten continually worse and viagra and cialis no longer work at all for me.) I can go into more detail maybe later if needed but my question for now is about counteracting the shortening from the implant:

First off I was wondering if I could have my suspensory ligaments cut to give me an extra inch or so which I fear I may lose. I'm a young guy and this is very important to me. From what I've heard, the downside to this operation is that the penis loses stability. Would the implant have enough power to make the purpose of the suspensory ligaments not be needed? Would it make up for the instability I mean? Do you think these procedure could be done together? (implant and suspensory cut). Is there anything else I can do to get some length or girth back?

Also, as far as girth what should I expect? I've had severe girth shrinking in the past 2+ years as my corpus cavernosum has hardened and lost all elasticity and i feel my vains have hardened in the penis. (doctors dont see this and had a penile doppler done and said everything was fine, but its not. They tried saying it was in my head.) Do all cyclinders of the pump expand the same amount girthwise? Will girth keep expanding as far as my skin will stretch as I pump? Could I maybe regain much of the lost girth now?

Most Importantly, What steps should I take to get this done. What do i need to tell doctors, who should i see when my uro says I'm too young to even think about an implant? I know I need it and don't want to wait until I've missed any more experiences of dating or sex thing before I end up eventually getting it like I know I will. Who should I turn to now that my uro won't help me here?

Lastly, how noticeable is it? If i could find some way to keep a girl from touching my testicals, could it be conceiled? Obviously this getting out would be very embarassing for a college student like me. Could I pump up during kissing or undressing? Or maybe say i have to go to the restroom and come back with an erection maybe tucked under m belt or kept conceiled by wearing tight boxers?

I know I've asked about a million questions here but I'm desperate, depressed, and really need to fix myself. I can go into more detail about my history and the state of my penis if that would help any.

So please help me out I really apreciate it.
Mike
Mike,

One question, do you ever wake up with an erection?

Penile doppler is very good at measuring blood flow. You could get another opinion. While it is possible that some of your activities damaged your penis, at 21 the blood vessels should be in good condition and that is what supports the erection. Which doctor diagnosed the hardening of your corpus cavernosum?

Anxiety can play a major role in erection problems. It does sound as though you are overly concerned about the size of your penis. How big is it? Have you looked at the charts on this site?

The problem with the implant is that it is permanent. Once it is done, you can't undo it. Implants also have complications, you may have to have it replaced several times at your age. Each time there will be more scarring and loss of function - basically DON"T DO IT!

I don't know how noticeable it is. The bulb is actually in your scrotum so it should not be noticeable.

Before you do anything, talk to a psychologist. Maybe, just maybe they'll be able to help. Seriously.

No I no longer do ever wake up with an erection without doing viagra or pt-141 the night before.

No doctor has diagnosed a hardening of my corpus cavernosum. Through a penile doppler and exam they said I was fine. But they dont see when I try to get an erection or what I would even consider an erection now.

I'm do not think I'm really overly concerned really. I was once very happy with my length. I was about 6.5" which I know is fine. Length has shrunk a litlte but my girth has suffered immensely. Back before I comepletely lost the ability to have sex I would have sex with my old girlfriend and I could really tell how much I'd lost.

I am talking to a psyciatrist because of how much this has effected me. Not having sex as a decent looking college kid with the ability to get lots of girls is really killing me. As a matter of fact skrew size I just want to have sex again, not losing an inch to surgery again would just be ideal.

If anyone else has had the surgery please help me out.

Mike: If you want your penis normalized, STAY AWAY from the medical model. They acknowledge no cure. From reading your post, likely you've injured your penis with a lot of rough handling--shots, jelqueing, perhaps excessive masturbation. Immediately check in with the Peyronies Disease Institute in Indiana. They have ways of fixing your penis without surgery--the only way to normalize it. Don't buy into the cheerleading that says an implant is better than the real thing. IT ISN'T! Doesn't come close. I have one. Worst decision I ever made in my life. Instead, become a student of alternate ways of fixing your penis. Go online at Amazon.com and look into the Kindle books under "Peyronies Disease" Buy and study these books! Go online and wade through the discussions and cures--some are discouraging, some are good. Become an expert on this or your penis will continue to suffer. If you subject yourself to surgery, I'm afraid you'll end up like me--VERY remorseful knowing there are non-surgical ways of returning to normal. Good luck--there are inexpensive cures out there, you just have to find them. Rickett

Dude, like I said to Mike, there are ways to cure this, but the medical community will try to tell you there is no cure. I had the surgery--worst decision I ever made. See my 18 Questions and Answers you must know PRIOR to have a penile prosthesis under, "Removal of Penile Prosthesis". If you can't find it, I can repost it. I would give anything to undergo the cures to this disease that I have found since, but cannot do any longer. STudy the Curezone.com testimonials of what has worked with others, and read the post I sent to Mike. My opinion is this--I would rather be impotent than have this penile prosthesis. They bill it as the "Cadillac", but my experience with it is that it is a lemon. I wish I'd never done it. If I had it over, I'd study the alternative methods until it was fixed. Don't buy the cheerleaders who boast of how good you will be. Remeber, a prosthesis DOES NOT STOP Peyronies disease. It will continue. Rickett

Mike, any progress or cure yet? If you do go ahead with a penile implant, it requires the inside erection chambers of the penis to be carved out and discarded permanently. That provides the inside space for installing the two articifial implant erection chambers. Once that real interior penis tissue is removed, there is no going back ever again. It can't be replaced with real tissue ever again. Then only artificial implants can be used inside your penis. They claim to have a useful working life of about 15 years, since most are used on older men and aren't planned to last long enough for a very young man like you. You'd need to have replacements reinstalled in surgeries throughout your life. Like the other posters said, that leads to scar tissue and lack of feeling and sexual sensations.

The hand pump and valves that are implanted in the scrotum to inflate, deflate, and control the inflation of the artificial implant erection chambers will be about like having a third testicle inside your scrotum. It would show when you are wet, sweating, or overheated and your scrotum is hanging low and your scrotal hair is wetted down while you're naked. In locker rooms its no big deal since most guys are terrified of being caught checking out another man's nut sack too closely and enough to really notice it being inside there. Most would just think your two balls or ball cords are what they are seeing anyway. But nearly every female you sleep with is going to want to feel and play with your scrotum and testicles since most men love ball play during sex and foreplay. She'd likely feel that extra equipment bumping against her as you thrust during sex and your nuts swing against her body on the in thrusts during sex. You'd pretty much have to be open to your female sex partners probably noticing the extra equipment inside your scrotum. But no big deal there. Most women aren't wild about studying their men's balls anyway as long as the rest of him works OK during sex. Once college is over, gossip is not nearly as big an issue in the work world and with female partners who don't work with you.

Most importantly, if the blood flow and circulation inside your penis is testing as being normal and healthy, then your penis should be able to function normally and erect normally. That means that at your very young age its far more likely to be a psychological impotence than a physical problem. Work on that as the most effective and useful way to get your young penis to work like a super virile porn star again. That would be a far better long term sex life than a penile implant.
