Does being in pain make you penis shrink?

I was in the hospital for having blood pressure problems and noticed my penis and testicles had shriveled up the most ever in my life. The doctor examined me and had the heater turned on. It was a concern because I was given IV bags and would have to use the toilet often.

It triggered me to have a panic attack after I noticed my penis didn't just shrivel up, the tip was out and the doctor's pen cap was about the same thickness but my tip was the size of a skittle. It ended up shriveling more and stayed that way the first night I slept at the hospital and they were discussing that it may be a health risk because I was unable to peel back the foreskin and needed help to urinate. I was fine in the morning to pee after the tip finally came back out.

I'm worried why it happened and if it will happen again. I didn't think it was possible and want to prevent that from ever being my normal penis size.

Penile pain can definitely cause shrinkage, but it’s all temporary.  Any excess penile shrinking tends to be normal; we have a regular range of sizes that the penis goes through, and you can expect to have it stay at that range except in dire situations.  Keep your penis in good health by using a penis health cream (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) with a wide range of vitamins.  Applying the vitamins topically in a cream allows them to better reach their targets in the penis than if taken orally.  Good luck!

I didn't know about topical medication but I will have to give it a try. I had been examined by a urologist and he informed me it was likely my reaction to new medication as well as being in a physical state where my body was basically trying to recover. I've been on a strict diet and have been resting well enough to say I can get out and do all of my daily tasks.

Part of the problem is the colder weather now, for some reason my penis has gotten smaller and colder weather makes it worse, I don't know why or how but when I'm not erect it's a problem. It's not painful to urinate but it takes longer and I have trouble pulling back the foreskin. The tip of my penis has also become sensitive, which the urologist recommended that I take warm baths and try getting some air contact and to keep it clean.

The color of the tip looked sore but appears fine now, but the size still remains significantly smaller. My only real problem is having to urinate in the morning because it goes inside me and my foreskin covers it, but I decided to shower each morning and relieve myself that way. I make sure to keep myself very clean and it seems to be working so far.

I'll try the cream to see if it helps. I've been a nervous wreck lately and desperate at this point. I've never been well endowed but this is all scary to me.
