Omg finally someone with the same thing! I have chrons disease as well and I am experiencing these boils in the same spot usually around my cycle every time. My boils do have a black head, I was totally freaked out when I got these because I thought maybe herpes or genital warts but I had these at 16 (I was a virgin) I thought maybe I contracted an std from a toilet seat or something! I still don't know exactly what it is but the fact that you have chrons and get these makes me feel a lot better!

I had these for years, every month with my period. Since I cut carbs out of my diet not only did my A1C levels go from high risk to normal - the boils have stopped as well. It took several months but I think these might be connected to high A1C and diabetes.

I don't know if I would classify what I get as a boil. More or less a very painful open wound is what it seems like. It doesn't matter if I'm shaved or not, because for a while I thought that was what was going on. It started after I had my second daughter, when I was twenty-five. After my first child, at twenty-three, my periods started becoming a lot heavier than I was used to. When the sores started coming up, at first, I thought it was because I shaved. Then I realized that they would show up right before my period (which made my period infinitesimally worse), and I was told that I was probably allergic to the pads I was using. After my first child, it became too painful to wear a tampon, so I figured that must be the cause. They both showed up in the same exact spot every time. After my last child in 2014, I got my tubes tied and even got an ablation because my periods were so heavy and debilitating. For the last three years, after the ablation, my periods have been very light and the sores never came back... until this month. For the last six months or so, my periods have begun to get heavier and more painful. This month, the sores came back. I'm pissed, to say the least.
Just going off of my personal experience with them, I think it has to be hormonal. They only ever come when I'm going through pms, and then once the heaviest part of my period is over, they kind of crust over like a scab, and then disappear.
I hate that there are so many women out there that have to deal with this stuff, but it is a relief to know that it isn't just me. I know it isn't herpes, because I've been tested every time that I've been pregnant. As far as I know, no one else in my family has them either, which has been a bit embarrassing to talk about and disconcerting.

I do not know the medical term for this condition, but I have had it since I started my periods in the 9th grade, they can be severe at the late stages requiring surgery. This condition is related to hormonal imbalance, hence most women get them before their cycles and men get them too. I was lucky enough to get a diagnosis in Pretoria South Africa, by an excellent GP who was very fond of this phenomenon. So apparently if you have too much estrogen, or too much testosterone, they create hormonal imbalances and your body kinda gets a shock and in turn you get these boils, same thing that occurs to man with beard and boils on their neck/chin. For now there isn't anything medically prescribed you can take for the this specific problem, instead you can prevent this occurrence by controlling your hormones and doing so as if you managing a chronic illness. Guess what I use to control it ever since I was 16 to date....contraceptives, not for birth control purposes, but for genital boils. When I was 20 I stopped using them for a month thinking I had outgrown the condition, and like thief in the night they re-appeared. Different strokes for different folks, what works for me might not work for the next person but hey who knows it might save someone else's genital skin appearance, confidence and also save you from all those uncomfortable and extremely painful monthly boils.

I'm having this exact issue as you, as soon as I'm ovulating it start and I'm 25 so I don't think it has anything to do with your age.

Oh my god I thought this issue was some kind of MASSIVE ingrown hair, the pain shoots down my thigh and is extremely uncomfortable for days. The latest "boil" has been the biggest yet, and after 6 very painful days (and after full blown blisters) has somehow popped leaving 3 very very painful open wounds that are so painful they're keeping me awake at night...am seriously considering taking myself to the afterhoues doctor!

I have been dealing with this for a while. And wasn't sure what was wrong. My mom told me, it's my body pushing out the poison in my body....

I wish there was an answer to this problem we all deal with. Fighting with one now. It is hormonal, only shows up with my period. Woohoo, a twofer. I am interested to hear from the women who had a complete hysterectomy. Did it end your boils?
