This is PERFECTLY normal. Many factors play into getting your period. Yes you're going through puberty. However this aspect of puberty is different than any other. You're body has to prepare for you're period. Do you know why you get your period? If not it's okay; I didn't when I was 12 either. I'll make it simple your uterus or "womb" (where  your baby will be held when your older) Is preparing it self for a baby. How? It produces chemicals to make it nice and comfy for the baby. When the uterus doesn't receive an egg that is fertilized ( been mixed sexually with sperm) it has to get rid of what the chemicals produce by breaking it down and pushing it through the vagina.  There's also a number of reasons why if you athletic that's a factor or even if you're a dancer. But my guess is that your body is simply not ready. And besides what the rush. The later the better. If your friends make fun of you. Poke "fun" back saying at least you don't have cramps & bloody panties. :P Dont be cruel though just serve them some of what they served you. Hoped this helped.!

Hey! Don't worry about it AT ALL! Periods are not the same for everyone. Some girls get them when they're 8 or 9, but some don't until they are 16 or even 17 sometimes! BTW if ur period doesn't come before youre 16 or 17 it is best to talk to your doctor. with some girls the late periods are normal but with others it can be the sign of some disorder (IDK what its called!) So just relax and your period will come when it's ready and youll know don't worry. PS tell ur friends, enemies, wutever, about what i have said above about peoples bodies being different and stuff. its not really fair for them to be treating you like that. Good luck and stuff

Hi there! I was in the same boat as you when I was 12. I started having pubic hair/armpit hair very early on, but didn't start till age 13 or 14. Hang in there girl! You will start when your body is ready. Every person is different and hormones are unpredictable for all women. :)

Don't stress about it, everybody is different and it will happen when its ready. I was in a similar situation with my best friend except she's a year older, we were basically racing to see who would come on first, lol, turns out she was a month before me, so really it can start whenever, though your in puberty it can start anytime. Once it comes the novelty of feeling like a woman wears off trust me.. i hate them lol.
