My 5 year old daughter developed puss filled pimples on butt and legs. I used antibiotic cream and a littley Benzoyl Peroxide( Acne medication). It worked and they dried out, but it seems that new ones are developing. Just wondering if anyone knows what it is. I know the topic was discussed a while back, but I wonder if anyone found out what it is.
It's likely a staph infection.  Doctor will prescribe antibiotics.

Hi,

Have to agree on this one with previous poster. This can be staph infection. If your daughter is sharing playground with other children she could’ve got it from other children. Staph can be easily transferred with dirty hands.  If they are returning then the antibiotics that you are using may not be enough. Checking with doctor can give you more accurate picture of what is going on with your daughter.  He can then prescribe more effective antibiotics.

On the other hand, sometimes this can be yeast infection. Yes, children can get them too. Antibiotics should help here also. But I thinks that you should check with pediatrician what is the best treatment.

Problem is that this can be several things. Has anyone else had similar experience?

Best regards,

Danella
