Hey so I've been dealing with plan b induced acne for a year and a half the only thing that got rid of it has been liver cleansing and red clover tea. You can find a ton of info online about liver cleanses and the tea. It may be too soon to tell but my skin looks drastically better so I'm hoping it was the end of it. Red clover tea made sense to me because it helps balance hormones and cleanses your blood. I honestly believe there was a ton of hormones from plan b that couldnt leave my body and i am almost sure they are gone now. I will keep everyone updated if it truly was my cure but even if not its worth a shot to be able to control it and have a way better completion. Also i should note i didn't really change my diet for this, but i do drink lots of water!! I hope this helps someone, if u have any questions ill be checking back here frequently as i know how awful it is dealing with hormonal acne.. there's hope!!! :)

Read my other post at the bottom of this thread!! I just have to add i searched for a year and a half for a cure. nothing worked. I ate clean, exercise, stopped using pretty much anything with chemicals in it. This hormonal imbalance was a nightmare and just kept getting worse. I don't write reviews online, or anything like this but i always said to my boyfriend "if i cure this i have to tell people". I will also say liver cleanses/flushes are no walk in the park but i will tell u where to find the best info on it. ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed everything you need is there and red clover tea should be easy to find from a natural health store or whatever.

I took this pill 3 months ago and since then have gotten really bad cystic acne. It is very embarrassing. I've seen a dermatologist and had cortisone shots injected into a few of them. Only after a week or so the same cystic acne bumps came back. My doctor said she didn't want to inject anymore cortisone so since then I've been on minocycline, a few topicals, and have started taking birth control to balance my hormones out again. Will never take plan b again.

I agree with you on this. I used to drink a lot, and my acne was TERRIBLE. I got a new 2 zits on my chin it seemed every morning.

I finally went to the dermatologist and that helped a little, but it was really expensive. Plus I was taking a lot of antibiotics and topicals and that can't be good for long term. Now to my point.

The best thing that helped me, and I know everyone says this and you may roll your eyes: Water. Let's make one thing clear: I hated water, I never drank it before, only sparingly. I just decided to start. I got a gallon bottle and kept it with me at work and I refill it each day. I got out a sharpie and divided the bottle up into 2 hour segments: 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm so that I didn't have to look at the bottle and be so overwhelmed about drinking all of it. I've kept this up for 2 months now and my skin is clear! Completely stopped breaking out!!

The reason I'm posting here is because I took plan B this week and my chin started breaking out again... I've kept up with my water routine though and it is on its way out. TRY IT!!

Thats is your body's way of getting rid of toxins and other foreign elements. As mentioned the plan b is a combination of hormones and the appearance of pimples is our body trying to maintaing homeostasis .

Try using oatmeal on your face, no water. Just oatmeal. It helps a lot. Do it over night and sleep with it.

I have the same problem but it's a month later. It's all the hormones in Plan B.
