Hi I'm 27 year old diabetic. I have had diabetes for going on eight years now. Started when I had gestational diabetes, when I was pregant with my first child. The diabetes never went away. I have notice the past couple of night's, my arms and legs if raised a slight bit higher. Fall asleep and is very uncomfortable. It feels like pins and needles. :-( It seem like it happens more in the afternoon and morning. Any advice from anyone??? Anyone going through the same thing? What did the doctor say?
Thanks in advance!

How well are you controlling your diabetes? If you have not been controlling your glucose levels well enough, you could be experiencing early nerve damage (neuropathy). On the other hand, your blood flow could be slightly impaired due to diabetes and your arms are "falling asleep", resulting in the pins and needles affect you are experiencing.
Make sure you are adequetly controlling your glucose levels to prevent any further damage to nerves and blood vessels.
