I had a my second kid in 2008 and i decided to get mirana (iud) i was suppose to take it out this coming Dec (2013) but i took it out a lil early because of non related health issues...i have had 2 periods in a month and now i smell a copper or zinc smell or atleast i think that's the smell...what could be causing this?

That is usually the smell of blood old or new.
Did you remember to take out all your tampons? Sometimes leaving a tampon up in your vagina can cause you to bleed more often and get a nasty smell.
If you can't find a string than I would suggest calling your doctor for an appointment.
