When it was time to have him, they gave me an epidural which had no effect on my medication (which I took just before we left for the hospital). The epidural didn't work all the way but that was likely because of my severe scoliosis. He got stuck in the birth canal so they had to do an emergency csection. At that time I could feel them do the practice cut, so they had to use fentanyl and general anesthesia. Neither messed with my medication.
My son was born healthy at a whopping 8lbs 11oz 21 1/4" at 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant. He got a 10 on the apgar and was great. He was very sleepy for a few days however, but that was because of the general anesthesia and fentayl they gave me during the csection. They did allow me to breastfeed, and we had many lactation consultants come in to help me. All were very encouraging. We just had trouble with latching because he was so tired and he had an upper lip tie (which we didn't know until after we had to stop nursing/lack of supply). I'm not sure if my medication effected my supply or what. I started off with a major supply but it dwindled quickly. I didn't have a good diet though, rarely ate. Anyways. My OB did not prescribe anything but ibuprofen for my recovery because he knew of my past. However we called my sub doctor and he was very upset they did not prescribe me anything (he's also an anesthesiologist and does epidurals himself) so he gave me vicodin and a few extra sub to help with the pain. Both my OB & sub Dr encouraged me to breastfeed. Nobody called child services. Pretty much everyone was very sweet and helpful (had one bitchy nurse but can't complain lol)
So I hope that helps some women who find themselves pregnant feel a little better. It is scary, but from what my doctor told me Subutex is by far the best medication for pregnant women who are dealing with a physical dependence. The chance of your baby going through withdrawals is slim to none if you are on a fairly low dose (under 8-10mg). Hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies

I'd your baby girl have any withdrawl sign after birth?
I'm so scared of my baby having bad withdrawal effects after birth, my Dr told me they could last up to 21 days after delivery.

So happy to read this positive story. My partner and I want to have a baby soon but I have been on the suboxone for 10 years. I have gradually been weeding myself down but am freaking out that I won't be able to get fully off of it b4 I fall pregnant. Reading this post eased my mind a lot. I am now down to 1.6mg daily which I know is low but everytime I try to just off no matter how low I get the pain is still the same. For instance I jumped off 16 ml and it was absolute hell then I gradually weaned fowlwell so a mere 0.4 of a mg and the pain was just as bad. What I want to know is did your baby have any withdrawal symptoms at all when born ?
