Hello I’m 26 weeks pregnant and am currently on subutex. My Obgyn isn’t helpful at all in my situation and I’m trying to find s new one that hopefully can be helpful. I’m so scared in the situation I’m in. My husband has left me and I’m all alone. If I lost my baby next I wouldn’t be able to live.

Hello I am currently 33 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby. I am taking 16 mg of subutex a day. My baby has IUGR, GROWTH RESTRICTION. I see a high risk specialist for this and medication. He only weighs about 2 pounds and 8 oz right now. They plan to deliver him early in the next 3 weeks. I am scared of him having w/d along with being small and a preemie.

U can breast feed while on subutex. It's a level 2 on the chart of 1-5, at wic. 5 being the worst and 1 being no harm . Garlic just for instance the pills are a level 3. How sick is that. So yea I was just at wic and the nutritionist said no worries!!! So I how that helps you!!

Docs said they are finding that suboxone isn’t harmful which I believe is bs NALOXONE KILLS! Not only that I’m only on 2mg a day and they are trying to put me on 12 why would they do that!!! Hello, I was on 8mg of subutex my whole pregnancy and my daughter was born completely fine we went home within 3 days she showed no signs of nas or any type of withdrawals... I got very educated on the subject of nas while I was pregnant I was very lucky that my baby did not experience it, it is a 50/50 chance some babies will experience it and some not... but do not worry I now have a healthy very smart 8 month old girl.

Hi I just wanted to tell my story to possibly bring some peace of mind to women that are not sure what to expect during a pregnancy while taking subutex. I myself knew lottle about it and was terrified to give birth while taking this medication. I was taking 8mg a day when I found out I was expecting, this was not planned and i was so shamed and scared. I never wanted to get pregnant until I was long done with subutex, and to add to the anxiety my now husband had no idea I was taking it. I made it my mission to wean myself down as much as possible before giving birth. No one wants to think their newborn could suffer from withdrawal and or any type of ither discomfort due to a medication you need to stay sober. Anyways at the end of my pregnancy I was down to 4mg a day. When it came time to deliver I had no idea my baby would be monitored for wd so that was very scary for me. Luckily I went against what my dr said and i lowered my dose ,( I'm not a Dr so everyone is different I just did what worked for me), she came out perfectly healthy with mild to no symptoms of wd. I eventually had to tell my husband I was on subutex and we had to stay an extra day so she could be monitored. Thank god he was so understanding/ forgiving because I was obviously full of shame guilt and anxiety ( i swear he could probably feel it radiating off of me). But anyways point of story is that my baby was perfect and healthy. As long as you aren't abusing your subutex and are staying sober, there is nothing to worry about. I wish I would have had someone to assure me everything was going to be okay and what i needed to expect during that time. If youre pregnant and are on this medication, take a deep breath and try to relax, you're doing the right thing ( i promise)!!!

Hi guys wanted to let you all know I had a baby girl a few months ago, was on subutex 12 mg when she was born . I was monitored by meternal fetal the whole pregnancy and my Gyno and doctor where very helpfull. You just have to be open and honest . I was very scared to give birth, I was sure there would be something wrong with her . She was born a beautiful 7 pound healthy baby girl . She showed no signs of withdrawal until about 4 days after she was born . The hospital had sent us home and I noticed she was very shaky. I took her back to the hospital where hey monitored her for the day and decide to start her on methadone and slowly taper her off . I felt like such a horrible mother I balled my eyes out at the hospital, but every single nurse and doctor I had was so supportive and helpful ! Since we had left the hospital and came back she wasn’t put in nicu, just a regular peds room . We had to stay at the hospital for 2 weeks!! It was a slow process to wean her off . The whole time she did wonderful though and she was just as healthy as any other baby there . I got to sleep in the room with her the whole time too. Honestly it was nice being at the hospital, all the nurses were willing to help whenever I needed a break and the nighttime nurses let me sleep and fead her when I wanted . I wanted to let you ladies know my story because I couldn’t find any information when I was pregnant , hope this helps someone . If anyone has any questions just ask !

I found out my daughter is an addict and had taken subutex two days after my granddaughter was born when the social workers called me to sign supervisor paperwork. My little granddaughter spent 5 days in the hospital then had to be transferred over 100 miles away to a NICU. I spent 5 days there, 24/7, waiting to see if she would be ok. I now have physical & legal custody of her and her 6 year old brother. I will never forgive my daughter for doing this to her child. She shook for days and is still shaking some, still has horrible diarrhea, poor coordination to the point of barely being able to suck a bottle. All so my daughter could maintain her high and not withdraw herself. My life is no longer my own - can’t continue working when you’ve got doctor appointments every single week and the baby can’t be in public (daycare) for 6-12 months. We may lose our home. Because my daughter wanted to get high. Not just my life, but my entire family - we are changed forever. I’m way too old to be raising children. Why are you women so selfish? Destroy yourself, I don’t care, but leave the children out of it.
