My father had heart attack two years ago. After that he has started with metoprolol and aspirin. As he also suffers from joint pain and stiffness, he occasionally uses to take voltaren. I need to know if there is any possible heart attack risk from taking voltaren in his case. Thanks in advance.
Well, I have read in an article that voltaren and all other nsaids have a kind of risk for cardiovascular diseases. That is why it is recommended to take voltaren and similar pain meds in the lowest effective doses and as for the shortest possible duration. Also, dose should be adjusted by health professional according to general patients health condition.
