I also feel like i have experienced this. I have had the copper IUD in for 2 years now and am 25. And in that time I can think of at least three times where this has happened. I was convinced and felt pregnant, tender enlarged breasts, mood swings, fatigued, some spotting mid cycle etc. and then my period was late, about a week. very very heavy bleeding with lots of clots, very painful cramps and the period lasted much longer around 8 days instead of my usual 4. It just felt like I had potentially been pregnant and then lost it. No way to be 100% but it just felt like this is what happened, my normal periods are regular and even when they are heavy they have never been like those ones, so it was a contrasting difference. I am now stuck in if keeping this IUD is what i really want. I know that if i had it removed i wouldn't go through the insertion procedure again anyway!
