I got a tubal with rings done a few months ago. Ever since then my persiods have been coming around the same time either the 6th or the 7th. I am now late and am experiencing overly tiredness, my stomach hurts, nausua, and i am very very emotional. I usually dont cry at all but lately any little thing makes me cry. I am not sure whats going on and I am very scared. I took 2 cheap tests and they both came back negative. Any suggestions? I would like to know if it is possible to get pg after a tubal with rings and if i should be freaking out lol. HELP!!!
The only way you could get pregnant again would be if the tubes grew back and reattached themselves again. With your symptoms you will need to get the blood test done i think, your chances of an ectopic pregnancy increase after a tubal is done, you could experience increased pain and/or bleeding and cramping. Also, if you wanted to retest do so with your first pee of the day as you have the highest concentration of the HCG pregnancy hormone at this time so get the best or most accurate result. Good luck
thank you for the advice. I am not sure if i trust the doctors to get a blood test done. the reason why is because i have had one before i was a couple weeks pregnant and they said it was negative. when my doctor did the tibal as far as i know he didnt cut or burn them he just used rings or clamps. i know it is possible for them to come off. im just really scared
How are you doing today? Any different, period here or been to the doctor for any answers? Ask for an ultrasound? Can I ask why you just went for the rings if they are known for falling off and you wanted something more permanent (not to be nosy, just curious as my gyno/OB wouldn't do procedures unless if basically 100%)?
Hi there sorry about not keeping an update on here I got pretty busy lol. I am not pregnant as after being a few days late I ended up starting. I dont mind answering any questions but I went with the rings because the doctor I had sucked lol. I didnt know about the failure rate and I was given only 2 options by my doctor. He said either the rings or essure. I dont trust getting surgurical procedures done in office like that so i went with the rings. Do you know of sites I can go to so I can find out more information about the rings?
the guest reply was me sorry i forgot to log in lol
He doesn't sound like a very a good gyno/OB. Which is too bad, I had such an awesome one with great results and when I asked about different procedures he explained why he wouldn't do them or use them.
As for sites just google the exact name of the rings the doc used (if you know it) and look for trusted sites; like the Mayo Clinic and just read lots of different sites to gather info and you'll get the gist of it from there. Unfortunately I don't know much about the rings at all but if you want something more permanent you should look into a different doctor.
What part of the world you from?
thank you for the advise I am actually in the United States. I live in Nevada
Well if you have the insurance you should be able to find another doctor to do a more permanent, clipping, cutting and cauterizing procedure - sounds painful but not too bad and like I said, more permanent.
