I was recently diagnosed with Adenomyosis. I had an ablation done in 2009 and 4 years later began having the symptoms everyone on these threads are complaining about. after not having insurance and not being able to pursue a proper diagnosis and after being diagnosed as "probably" fibroids" and MRI and radiiologist said adenomyosis. My options for treatment are Lupron (NO!), a hysterectomy, or a fibroid (arterial) embolization.
I'm just relieved to know that there is a solution. I asked my doctors if the adenomyosis is a result of the novasure and they both said they didnt think so, because adenomyosis is more common than it's mentioned. Women who have fibroids also suffer soemtimes from adenomyosis, and sometimes the adenomyosis isnt found out until after the woman has a hysterectomy and the tissue is examined.
If you're reading this and have the symptoms of cyclical pain, extremely tender uterus, weird bleeding, bleeding longer or heavier than usual, uncomfortable intercourse, back pain, pain that cant even be helped with tylenol, then google adenomyosis. Talk to your dr about having an mri done to rule it out. It's better to have something to look for than not. At least if its ruled out then you can move on to the next possiblity.
I hope I'm helping someone out there!
Be well ladies!

I just got married sept 5 and sex is totally out of the question as its too painful. I'm still having a burning sensation like the one right after the ablation.
I have an apt Nov 19 to see my doctor, now mind you a follow up appt was never discussed or scheduled.
I thought I was just having a hard time with this. But my sister in law sent me a link to experiences other woman have had.
Has anyone had similar problems as I have? I know I'm just shy of 2 months out from the ablation, but at this point I feel like something is wrong.

I'm so sorry to hear everyone's difficult experiences with ablation. Thank you for sharing your stories as I have been considering having an ablation, but don't think I will now. In researching post-ablation syndrome, I came across this New York Dr's website who repairs failed ablations with a minimally invasive procedure. I share it here in case it is a resource for anyone. ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed
