I am so sorry all of you are going thru this. I am happy however, that I am not the only one in such sever pain and no one health professional can tell me what is going on in my body.
I had my tubes tied in 2007 and a ablation 3 months ago. the last 2 months I have had the worst pain of my life....so bad it makes me throw up until I get relieve or it subsides which does not happen quickly. What I am wondering to the ladies out there that have had hysterectomy's after this does it take the pain away? Do you have relief? I just do not want to make the wrong decision again and the lack of knowledge that the health professionals have about post ablation worries me.

I am almost 6 weeks post ablation....I had a horrible time of it. Lots of pain the first two days..and I have endometriosis so I'm use to lots of pain! Ended up having to take more time off work because I kept having more pain and dizziness anytime I tried to drive (be in a car....something about the vibration from the road triggered the pain). I've continued to have to minor bleeding every day since which is really just annoying. However the last week and a half I have been having horrible pelvic pain/ lower back pain. I have my 6 week post op appt this friday and plan to mention it to my dr. :-( This surely was not the super easy thing they said it would be!

Pelvic floor therapy would be a good idea. Sounds like you have dysfunction.

Hello!
Your stories sound so much like what I just experienced. I am 46 years old and had the Novasure ablation about 4 years ago. Things have gone smoothly and I have not had a period at all since...however I have been dealing with stomach pains off and on for a few years now. I thought it was IBS, and have been treating it as such. I have never missed an annual exam. Then just about two months ago, I had the most intense stomach pain. I was up at night, curled up in a ball and crying. The pain that I had just from walking was as if I was in my last trimester of pregnancy and the pressure in the pelvic area that stopped me in my tracks. the GYN ordered an ultrasound. I was scheduled for a D&C and hysterscopy a few days later to remove what looked like fibroid in my uterus.
The doctor informed me after surgery that my cervix was closed tight due to scar tissue, that when she broke through the cervix, old blood and poured out (she explained it as chocolate syrup)

I can relate to each and every one of these women's posts. I have had two uterine ablations for heavy bleeding and polyp removal. The pain never quite goes away. With each monthly cycle it varies. Sometimes a whole week is shot due to pain and agony. I have been on many pharmaceuticals. I wish everyone luck with getting support and guidance. I was told I have post ablation syndrome, too.I am 57 and waiting for menopause, as I was told ," it will get better'. I no longer work due to pain. I am on antidepressants, and various pain killers.

I had the ablation may 2016, 2 days after the procedure I had a period. The reason i had the ablation is my periods were so heavy and I was severely anemic. Now a year and a half later I have monthly periods with pain that leaves me unable to do anything. Back pain weakness nausated. It hit me this passed Thursday and for 2 days I couldn't hold anything down, chills sweats you name it..this happens every month now but this one seems to be the worse. Looks like I'm going to have to have a hysterectomy.

I had ablation 2 years ago and have had cyclical pain for the last year and has got progressively worse! Finally diagnosed with pas and booked for hysterectomy on 6th Nov! Only cure! Like you I am wiped out for 2 days too and have all those symptoms you talk about. Worse pain then any period pains I ever experienced pre ablation!

Ladies I think we need to see about a lawsuit on this because my doctor never told me that I would be having this in the long run at all he told me I might start bleeding again and that never happened only pain and pain oh and did I say pain and did I say miss work I wish I would have never got it

Me too ladies. Had an ablation 7 weeks ago. Severe pain. Treated for an infection. After antibiotics were finished I’ve dealt with excruciating pain. Ultrasound today showed 2 cysts on my left ovary and some trapped fluid in my uterus. Ibuprofen gives me no relief. Waiting for a second opinion. I just want a hysterectomy at this point. I’m only 42. A single mom of two young girls. I can’t deal with this pain. Terrifying.

I know its been 10 months since a post was updated, I am so thankful to each and everyone of yo for sharing your stories!
I am 38 yo mother of 3, who are 16,17,& 18. Tubal in 2008, Ablation 2018. Vaginal Hysterectomy scheduled for next week Thursday.

I have had 5 ER trips in the last 3 months, I have a high pain tolerance but this pain each month has been worse and worse! I finally told my Gynecologist, PLEASE fix me, This is has been the worst 3 months of my life!

How can one expect to live with this pain, its terrible. I am quite nervous for the Hysterectomy, but am sure the pain from the procedure will be less severe than the pain I have been having each month. I have lots of family and a wonderful husband to help me post surgery.

Wishing all you women to find answers, comfort and be pain free. God Bless
