Hello,

After I had a hydrocele in my right testicle about eighteen months ago, from which I spent three days in hospital, I was told by the urologist that it might take a year to return to normal size. It did return to normal size fairly quickly which is the size of a large egg. Things seemed to be normal in the fluid department after then...

The sharp pain I had prior to the hydrocele has gone now, but it seems that more recently my ejaculation (which was once very fluidous and comparatively considerable) has reduced to a very thick lumpy consistency of about a teaspoon in volume. It's colour is not yellow/brown as I have read as sometimes occurring on this site. It is white. I do not seem to have had a normal ejaculation for some time. My girlfriend has informed me she has noticed, also that it is - incredibly salty, where once upon a time, she would compare it to something like very dry white wine.... I can only tell you of these changes being noted by her opinion. I don't mean to be rude!

I have suffered from degenerative disc "disease", starting badly when I was 39 years old. I am now 44. I have to take a lot of pain killers. Now I take three 75mg pregabolin, four tramadol/zydol 50mg and four 400mg ibuprofen daily for my chronic pain due to lumbar and sacroiliac nerve problems. I have been on pain killers like dihydro codeine for five years approximately, have stopped the codeine as it didn't do the job to alleviate pain, so just take the three previously mentioned.

The change in my semen/sperm has only been in the last three months or so. I find it unnerving to say the least. Thoughts of prostate problems are in the back of my mind. I have been to see my GP and he has said that it is probably nothing and will clear in time. Their is no apparent swelling in the testicles, not what I would say was any swelling in the tubes connecting them to my groin.

I don't know if my combination of pain medication is having an affect on my testicles ability to produce the fluid I once had, going down from more like a tablespoon to a teaspoon full. Very noticeable.

I would very much appreciate any medical advice from practitioners.

Kind regards,

Milos
