it happened on the 9th of december. last month, it started on the 22nd november, october i had my period on 20th october, 15th september, 16th august, 14th july.

my period is very irregular. it's always late but not this late.

From those period start-dates:

• 14 Jul 17   to 16 Aug 17 = 33 days
• 16 Aug 17 to 15 Sep 17 = 30 days
• 15 Sep 17 to 20 Oct 17  = 35 days
• 20 Oct 17 to 22 Nov 17  = 33 days

Those dates indicate that your cycle is usually 30-35 days with an average of 33 days.

Your suggested period start (? 25th Dec) would be 33 days from your last period-start.

It is probable that 9th Dec was a fertile day, and you might not get signs of pregnancy yet (if indeed you are pregnant), but from the little you have described (can you give more detail?), pregnancy seems unlikely.

What other sexual activities have you had since your last period started?

Can you give the earlier period start-dates for last year? It may be that your cycles have sometimes been longer than 35 days.

yesterday at 11am, i took a pregnancy test and it was negative. we did not do anything else other than what i stated above.

in June, my period was on the 5th.

Your pregnancy test result should be reliable as it was <21 days after 9 Dec event.

Your June/July cycle was 39 days! So I would not be too concerned.

so im not pregnant?

If you took the test properly, the result should be reliable. Provided there has been no sexual activity since 9th Dec, I think you should be fine. From what you had described, there seemed little chance pregnancy could follow.

Hi! Me and my boyfriend were messing around exactly 8 days ago. Although no penetration was involved, he did rub his d on my cli.t without any barier. Is there any chance I could be pregnant? I've heard frequently say there could be no chance, as precum is very unlikely to impregnate, even less if there was no penetration. I got my period 5 days ago; it's heavy (still going on). No, there is no chance of pregnancy because of when it happened and the fact you have started your period. Your heavy period is a very strong indicator you are not pregnant, and 3 days before it started would not have been a fertile day.
"precum is very unlikely to impregnate" Precum can contain sperm, but is far less than in ejaculate. 'Less sperm' = 'less chance' of pregnancy. But 'less chance' does not mean 'no chance'.
"even less if there was no penetration" is true, as sperm would have further to travel.
"he did rub his d on my cli.t" Unless your clit is quite large, that would have been some distance from your vagina entrance.
You can only get pregnant if sperm enter your vagina at a fertile time.

Hi there. I really need your advice please. I am really stressed right now. My period is 20 days late. I did 5 hpt since the last three weeks but all results were negative, included this morning. I did not have intercourse but i touched my v with pre-c_m on my hand, few times, for few days. And this happened during my ovulation period. But i was also on holiday, with different weather from home country. When my period was due, i had cramp but no blood came out, i dont know if it is because the weather is too cold there. Just now, i feel like vomitting from food smell. I dont know whether i was being paranoid or something is really going on now. What should i do? Thank you.

The likelihood of pregnancy is low. Also, if you have not had your period when expected, and recent tests have proved negative, then you probably didn't ovulate when you expected. Your holiday in a foreign country may have disrupted your cycle, and you may miss a period.

It would help to have some actual dates and period/cycle data, and some clarification.

1. What were the start dates for your last 6 periods?
2. What dates did you have any sexual activity since your last period?
3. What date did you expect your period to start? 30th Dec?
4. How did you calculate that date?
5. "I did not have intercourse" Never?
6. "I touched my v" v= vagina (birth canal) or vulva? Where exactly? What were you doing?
7. "with pre-c_m on my hand" What were you doing prior to that to get pre-cum on your hand? Only on your hand? When did he last ejaculate?
8. "this happened during my ovulation period" When did you think that 'ovulation period' was? How did you arrive at that?
9. How old are you?

2. During the duration of 2nd week of dec until 1st week of jan.
3. Yes, i was expecting it on 29/30th. I really thought my period is coming on the 29th because of the cramp but no blood at all til now
4. I’m using the app flo and manually calculated it too

6. Touch and hold both the vulva and vagina. But no fingers inserted in the vagina.

I always have long cycle but i never had missed period before. At first i didnt give much thought because i was travelling but suddenly it hits my mind, thats why i was really concern about this.

From the dates you have given, your calculations would be reasonable based on those 4 months:

• 21/07/2017 to 23/08/2017 = 33 days
• 23/08/2017 to 09/10/2017 = 47 days
• 09/10/2017 to 19/11/2017 = 41 days
• average = 40.33 days
• 19/11/2017 to 29/12/2017 = 40 days

It seems that not only can cold weather affect the menstrual cycle, but also sunshine (or lack of it) can. You haven't stated where you are from.

"I really thought my period is coming on the 29th", and maybe the very cold weather (how cold?) prevented bleeding.

Your Jul/Aug cycle was shorter, and maybe it was because you were exposed to more sun. You haven't given your earlier periods to see an annual pattern.

The fact that you have taken tests that have shown 'negative' indicates that you are probably not pregnant, and certainly not as at the beginning of January. I would be very surprised if you were to become pregnant from what you have described so far.

1. I am from thailand and i went for winter holiday in the europe. Sometimes the temp hits 0 deg C.

False-negatives usually happen when taken incorrectly, especially when taken too early. However, you have taken a number of tests, and the hCG increases over a few weeks so should have picked up any hCG.

A test taken earlier than 15 days after ovulation would be less likely to pick up hCG levels.

0 deg C is very cold for a Thai!

A blood test is more sensitive, but (from the little you have described of your activity) I think you are extremely unlikely to be pregnant.

Yes it was very cold during the winter because we live in hot country. But the usual temp when i was in europe is 6-8 deg C.
So do you think i should get a blood test done?

Do you have any tips for me to get my period? Ive always have long cycles and my period usually only lasts for few days everytime. (2-3 days)
