Hi, I am 27 years old female and I am suffering from asthma. I am pregnant for two months already and till now I didn't have any complications but I would like to know how dangerous it is for my pregnancy and my baby. I would like to know if it would be good to use allergy medications during pregnancy.
Hi, asthma may be very dangerous for your pregnancy so you would consult your doctor and also take medications which he prescribes you. It may cause high blood pressure and preeclampsia which may hurt your kidneys, heart and lungs. Also all these effects may be very dangerous for your baby. Hormonal changes which occur during pregnancy may worsen asthma and even more shorten your breath and increase muscle spasm. Medications for allergy are not dangerous for your baby so you may take with no risk.
