Not true im currently 8 months pregnant i was on meth until i found out at 10 weeks and i within a month went from 40mg to 0. I have a healthy baby in my stomach. Stop being selfish.

Thanks for your post, I'm 3 1/2 months pregnant and was on methadone for pain management. I too did what you did, I detoxed myself off, I'm a firm believer it's possible. The first week was the worst, but each day gets better. It's about your need and will power, think about a precious baby suffering what we as adults are scared of, it's what you make of it...all things are possible

I just want you to know that not every person asks for this. I was on bc and conceived against my own choice. I go to a methadone clinic and this is not what I wanted. But I just wanted to say to your sister that I am sorry she has you as a sibiling. You are rood and disrespectful. You really should think about what she has to go through on a daily basis knowing she's bringing a baby into the world addicted to a drug. Its not the best feeling in the world. Maybe you should back of and show some sympathy. Im sure your car from perfect but I highly doubt she is on the internet talking trash about you and your problems. Good luck to you. Most anyone who has been through this says weaning while pregnant is very dangerous! You should have gotten off it first. But what's done is done my dear! Stay on whatever dies you are on, weaning while pregnant can cause a miscarriage!

I am also 7weeks. An if ur sick so is ur baby. I was told by an actual dr(not clinic). To stay on it witch 4me is 15mg. Please get your info from dr. Not ass holes who no nuthing. Its verry scary i no. But everyone is differnt. I know lots of people who had no problems after birth an went home happy. If your not smoking or doing street drugs u will be fine. Unless ur not eating right taking prenatils or on a crazy dose like some 300 or more.

Yes you can but its not recomended. The Babys brain an all that are developing, i was told from my dr i could cause birth defects. Plus u have a small time to do it when it safe. After that your talking still birth.. But yes depending on ones situation it can be done. But not the best choice for most.

It didn't say in your msg u have a medical degree of any kind so Im assuming u do not. Hi my name is jess and i just found out that im pregnant my counselor at my methadone clinic told me that i have to stay on it til the baby comes so the baby doesnt have to go thru all that with being so littke inside me. I would like to go down dramatically on it so when the baby comes i can get off of it soon after.. My question is.. Do you think it would be smart tl go down alot on my methadone before i have the baby so its not so hard to get off of it?? And is my child in danger of having birth defecta because of me being on methadone??please help! Thank you. Oh and to the negative nancy trying tl tell / judge someone because they are on methadone and having a baby how about u keep it to yourself its no place for you to say anything like that keep it to yourself. Your sister did it and i dont hear u saying that about her and i think "proudmommyof3boys" is doing the right thing by being on the program instead of still taking loratabs. I'm sorry to hear what happened to ur sister and niece but methadone saved my life I couldn't even become pregnant before going on methadone methadone is very dangerous when not administered from doctor with a stable dose taking methadone without a prescription or tolerance to opoids is very dangerous as I was saying I was finally able to get prego after rein on methadone for 2 years and being clean and sober off percocets I had a perfectly healthy baby that never spent one day medicated or in a nicu after birth she had not server withdrawal symptoms and did not need any kind of special care we stayed in the hospital for 6 days jus to be careful and she was completely fine I took great car who myself didn't smoke drink do drugs gained proper weight ate well and it proved that babies don't need to be born withdrawing from methadone if ur on a lower dose and stay clean from other opioids

Amen u couldnt of said it any better!!! That person didnt know what she was talking about!!! U cant withdrawl or wean down or anything while pregnant!!! I dont get why people constantly say that cuz if they knew anything at all then they would know when ur pregnant and u withdrawal ur risking a miscarriage and then later in pregnancy ur risking going into labor. Hello my name is Jennifer Welch I am 5 months pregnant and have been going to a methadone clinic for about three months know I have been in a case with the docs and they said that my baby will end up addicted to methadone cause I am on 120 mg per day. And take it everyday in am scared to that the dfcs will take my baby from me cause I go to crossroads in fort overthrow. And I am so scared when my child is born they will take ot from me I am addicted to methadone And after the second day I withdrawlbfeom not haven any . Will someone tell me if my baby will be addicted to thr methadone I receive everyday ? And if so how long will he or she half to stay in hospital ? And another thing is it against the law to take methadone while u are pregnant and is it safe some say yes most say no ?
