I know my mom was almost four months pregnant with me, facing an emergency DNC because they thought she was hemorrhaging from a heavy period. My dad kept telling her she was pregnant with me but 18 tests and six doctors kept saying she wasn't. As my mom lay bleeding half to death awaiting the DNC my dad got angry and took my mom to a different hospital where they finally did the ultrasound which also showed negative along with the pregnancy test. He insisted they do another ultrasound to reconfirm and sure enough there I was. I am pregnant now and test negative just like she did. I have been told that a woman's body may not produce enough of the hormones needed to show shes pregnant and some women don't even know until they are in labor. No one knows a woman's body better than the woman within. If you think you are pregnant listen to the signs. Your body knows what it needs. Eat when you are hungry, rest when you are tired, don't overdo it and restrain yourself from doing anything that you would avoid if you were 100% sure you are pregnant. Your body knows and there are obvious signs, though not all of them will apply to every woman. If you think you are take the time to take care of yourself. Also remember to take prenatal vitamins. They help with all the symptoms and will provide you and your baby with nutrients you may not be getting enough of. Water is vitally important to any woman's health however it is even more important for a pregnant woman to consume as much water as possible throughout the day. Most importantly remember to trust your own instincts no matter what anyone says. We are only human and therefore subject to mistake. If you think you are pregnant assume you are and trust that within a short time you will know for sure either via positive test or birth. In the mean time you get to relax and enjoy some personal downtime and rest. Good luck and God bless one and all....

Thank you so much for your post Christy. If I am pregnant, I would be 16 weeks today. I haven't taken a pregnancy test in a while because I after 20+ hpt you think, "What's the use?" I'm still ovulating and getting periods. I'm coming up on my ovulation day and then wait another 3 weeks to see if I get a period and we'll go from there. I also had 2 negative blood tests and an ultrasound that should 4 small fibroids and no cause for any concern. Yet, my belly grows and I have been feeling little pokes and jabs every now and again and wonder..."Did I really just feel that?" My last visit to the doctor was a 4/3/12 and that is also when I had the ultrasound. I am now waiting for a positive pregnancy test or movement that my husband can feel. Until then I quietly keep it to myself (or try to) that I'm pregnant because everyone else says..."It's your new body type. You're getting older." I'm 31 and that is what my doctor said was the reason my belly was growing. Others say it's hormones, yet my thyroid was tested and is normal. And I'm tracking my body basal temp and during my cycle the temp and cervical fluid is changing and to me...if my cycle is doing what it's suppose to then my estrogen and progesterone must be working fine...the only logical thing to me is that I'm pregnant and God is going to use this stroy!!! I have complete peace with what is happening! I am so close with the Lord and I am giving God all the glory through this entire process. I pray for all who are out there that are going through this similar thing.

Much Love,
Emmy

Dystanie - Have you found out anything? I pray the best for you and would love to hear how things are going. :) Have you had an ultrasound?

My younger sister has two daughters: one  teen, one infant - both times she felt like she was pregnant (even though she was taking contraception). With her first daughter, she took several home tests -they were negative, she went to the doctor's, urine and blood tests came back negative for pregnancy, yet she continued to feel pregnant. Her constant inquiries lead the doctor to request an ultrasound. Low and behold there was a baby, she was early in her second trimester. Her second daughter similar story, only due to her history, her current doctor requested the ultrasound earlier on, though it still took some nudging, and she knew she was pregnant around the 8th or 9th week. Good luck.

My periods are sort of irregular, but they usually last around anywhere from 30-40 days, I haven't had a period in almost 2 months now. Since the beginning of March, it was due on my birthday the 14th of April and it never came. I took a test this morning and it came out negative. I have been having really bad headaches for the last week and usually I only get headaches around the time that I am supposed to start my period but there has been nausea and dizziness along with them. My period is supposed to start on the 22nd of this month and if it doesn't I am going to take yet another test. I don't feel normal. I love sunflower seeds and they make me feel nauseous now.

I am 41, and have been going through fertility treatments. My last cycle, we got a positive, but it did not stick because my progesterone levels were too low. I had a period on May 20th, and spotted for 2 days (June 24 & 25.) I took a pregnancy test June 28, and July 6, both negative. Yet, nausea, frequent urination, and no period in sight. I did not take any fertility drugs this cycle, so fingers crossed! The negativity from doctors has amazed me. So I am hoping they will finally listen to me when I make them do an ultra sound next week!

Hi. i have been having similar symptoms as well... i started feeling extremely nauseous since about april. and for seven months ive been nauseous and having strange food cravings and every once in awhile my stomach appears to look pregnant. not always though because its always changing. some days i look normal and have a little bulge that never seems to stay in the same spot. ive gone to the doctor and gotten multiple pegnancy tests that all come out negative. Should I schedule an ultrasound? and is it possible to be pregnant without the big belly?

I missed periods and had raging morning sickness almost right away when I was pregnant with my daughter but kept getting negative urine tests and the doctors refused to do an ultrasound without a positive test. They even accused me of trying to get pregnant on purpose. Every week for three months I went through this until I finally got a positive urine test, at which point the doctor did an ultrasound and was "shocked" to see that my baby was more than 15 weeks along......Looking back I wish I had immediately went to see someone else.  If you think you're pregnant and are getting a negative urine test, ask for a blood test and/or ultrasound.  Trust that you know your body better than the men/women who are getting paid to examine you.

Joining in this discussion! I am 42, had my LMP beginning November 27th 2012, and I am 99% certain I am 6+ weeks into my 4th pregnancy (I have three daughters aged 13, 12 and 3). In the last couple of days I have been feeling waves of nausea, kept at bay only by eating little and often, and gagging when I brush my teeth. I have increased creamy white discharge, and I've started feeling Braxton Hicks - it is possible to feel them as early as 6 weeks, after several pregnancies, and I know what a BH feels like by now.

Everything screams "pregnant" but so far every hpt I've taken - around 10 - has been negative. I'm fed up taking them, so am now just treating myself as pregnant. I'm already starting to show - I'm very short, and had to wear looser clothing from 7-8 weeks with my third daughter, so it's not surprising to me that I'm "popping out" so early.

I'm going to visit the midwife at my local health centre to be booked in when I'm about 9-10 weeks. Hopefully by then my bump will be glaringly obvious to everyone, and I'll get a dating scan appointment which will prove it's not all in my head. I'm not bothering to have a blood test, because I'm aware that even that might show negative, so I can't see the point.

So yes, I share everyone else's frustration when that dratted second pink or blue line doesn't appear. Just think of all the thousands of women over thousands of years who've had babies without any dipsticks or lab tests. Time will tell, so for now I'm just relaxing and not stressing over it.

I wish everyone else in the same situation well - it's helpful to know there are other frustrated POAS'ers out there!

Very wise words from Chrissy, and thank God your dad was so insistent when everybody else was poohpoohing him.

Good luck to all still waiting and wondering - don't let any professionals fob you off.
