Hello. A few days ago, in my tolilet, I’ve noticed blood in my stool. At first I panic, but later, I figure out what it is - hemerroids. For the first two days I had problems (pain and irritation) only when I’m doing my big business in toilet and I thought it will pass away by it self, but now I have same symptoms even when I’m sitting at my table at home and learning only, this time, itching is also present. That is a big problem for me because I study a lot. I didn’t tell anyone for this. Why?
I really don’t know. I guess I was shamed. I know that hemerroids are not so dangerous and life-threatening disease but, you must agree with me, it’s a very unpleasant condition. I would like to be more informed about hemorrhoids, about things that provoke such disease and about possible cure. Thanks.

The term hemerroids refers to a condition in which the veins around the anus or lower rectum are swollen and inflamed. There are two types of hemerroids which can appear separately or both types together. First type is internal, in which hemorrhoids are located in the top of the anal canal and second type is external, in which they are located near the anus. They are often caused by pregnancy, aging, chronic constipation or diarrhea, and anal intercourse. You have mentioned that you study a lot-well sitting on hard chairs for a long time is one of the most common provocative factors for hemerroids. As a treatment, I would suggest tube baths several times per day, and if this doesn't help- then use some suppository or hemorroidal cream like Cortaid, Cortizone 5 or Hytone.

I few days ago, I started to feel an irritation while sitting on the tiolet. It got worse and worse as days passed. Finally, wanting to see what was happening, I looked in a mirror to see what looked like a largely swollen vein on the outside of my anus. It hurt like mad. After a few more days, while at work, I felt as though my anus was sweating badly. I had much to do that day, but when I got home, I was finally able to take care of my days business. I was pleased to notice that the pain and irritation was gone, but while wiping, I was shocked by what amounted to a fairly large amount of blood. After wiping myself completely clean, I looked in the mirror again to see that apparently, the large swollen vein had, burst, and completely drained of blood. Is this normal? And, can I expect it to come back. I do sit a lot at work, but have also benn under a considerable amount of stress of late.
