I am wondering if you can help me out a bit. What is estimated pseudomonas infection treatment length? I have been diagnosed with this condition two days ago and I am about to start with the therapy. My father, who is 65 years old, is suffering from diabetes. Could there be some link between these two situations?
You do not sound as if you had serious problems with your condition so I assume that you gad an easier form of pseudomonas infection (such as pseudomonas meningitis with headache and fever). As for treatment it is consisted of medicaments first (Ceftaz, Fortraz, Primaxin, gentamicin), and sometimes surgery might be necessary. Two to six weeks is needed for treatment to be successful. I do not know for any link between diabetes and this condition, even though it might exist.
Can pseudomonas ever be completely eliminated from lungs?
