Have your Endo check your prolactin level to make sure you don't have a prolactinoma ( a type of pituitary tumor). It's a simple blood test. Good luck :)

What did you do to resolve this? Do you still experience this?

Interesting posts on here. I am weaning myself (with MD's approval) off of generic Wellbutrin ER - down to 75mg every other day. A couple of weeks ago, I experienced a frightful event whilst before going to sleep. Just closing my eyes, seeing weird things and shapes, not being able to open my eyes and feeling like I was being held down. Crazy! This past Friday, I had drank one beer, laid down, then the short BUZZ happened. One minute went by, another buzz that rocked my vision. This happened about 5 times with the same vision warps that made me jump. Thankfully, it passed.

I have a history of past neck pain, stress (current and past), and getting off the anti-depressants. So, no way really to tell from these posts and other folks findings. Hmmph. What to do? Guess I'll ask the psychiatrist if he's had any other reports of this and start from there. PS: I've been on WB before and didn't have these withdrawl effects.

Thanks for listening.

PSS: I do suffer from intermittent dizziness for no reason... "whooshes" (as described here). Mostly when sitting.

I've had the same wooshig feeling. It seems to subside when I focus my attention on a single object. I believe it may be some symptom of anxiety or stress, perhaps even a stress/anxiousness related to antisipating the "woosh." You may want to consult with a mental health practitioner to explore possible root causes. Hope this helps! :-)

Maybe stress or tension. i have had a cervical fusion and have more discs herniated in my neck. I get a pulsing beat above and behind my left ear several times a day. It's not painful at all just worrysome.

This may be an odd questions for some, but what kind of mattress does everyone use? Memory foam vs. pillowtop.

I rarely have dizziness only if I bend down or I have a sensation of movement when there is none as example when I am putting something in the boot of my car. But I have this pulsating feeling now daily & it's driving me nuts. I thought it was coming from outside of me to start with when it started a few weeks ago. I thought it was my neighbours making strange noises as the noise seemed to be coming from behind my ears it sounded like it was outside of me! It took me some time to realise that it was my own head. I had migraine in progress which I have suffered from for many years and which I am heavily medicated for as I am many other things so I get a bit confused. Now this pulsating thing comes and goes, some times it lasts days and sometimes hours. I do have a thyroid condition also and my doctor is going to run tests for me to check this etc. In response to the last person who said it may be diet or exercise I would just like to say it's definitely not diet as I eat the most healthiest diet you could ever possibly get. However I am disabled so exercise is a serious problem for me and I have been suspecting this could be a contributing factor to this condition. I do hope this is helpful.

been there done that...it's all stress related. your body is producing to much serotonin. believe it or not, those feelings you all are describing are mini panic attacks. load up on B-12 and just think good thoughts.

I got these but no longer do. I went to the eye doctor because of migraines and decreased visual in my right eye and bith of my optic nerves were swollen and i had bleeding behind my eyes. I was sent to have an mri done. I was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri which is false tumor. Meaning i had symptoms of having a tumor just that i had excess cerebral spinal fluid causing pressure on my brain and eyes causing the whoosh whoosh and dizziness. I went to see a neurologist and was put on medication to lose weight to correct the issue and now have no more bleeding behind my eyes swelling of optic nerves is gone and whoosh whoosh sound and dizziness is gone

Hi I am sorry you are feeling this way. I have been dealing with the same problem and it's driving crazy. Have you or doctor found any answer? Thank you and I hope you feel better

Thanks so much for your response. I suspected it could be anxiety. When it happens it feels like there must be some kind of blockage to my brain (like a tia) but I do have a history of anxiety. Thanks again.
