All of the new treatments for SLE (Systemic Lupus Eryrtheus) or RA (Rhemadoid Arthrtis) medications cannot be taken if you're on a blood thinner treatment regimen. I'm at my last recourse for pain management and worry about each day ahead of me. Is there anyone out there in my situation? I'm on pain meds plus Celebrex, Plaqunel, and Essix for my bones. It's worked well for the last couple of years but I can barely make it up the stairs where all of my bedrooms are. I'm getting really deporessed that my future outcome is extremely dim at best. I would love to hear from someone with similar concerns and learn about any new treatments. I've had 2 IM injectios of methotraxate but my work-related travel sheduile doesn't allow for me to be available for the weekly injections to build me up to the recommended 30 minute infusion monthly. I have a port implanted and currenlty receive a monthly infusion of multiple vitamins and trace minerals and iron as needed (about every 6 months) via my port. I don't want to loose my hair and I do NOT want to start the monthy infusion of methotraxate unless I can get a "warm fuzzy" that it will work. I feel my body getting slower and slower to activity every single day and am looking for anything and everything that will help me. Please respond if you're in my same shape on blood thinners and let me know there's some glimmer of hope in my future
