I'm 72 YO, and I had a bladder ultrasound on Wednesday, (today is Saturday) and I'm experiencing some deep pains in the area which was inspected. The tech said I had 20 ML of urine in my bladder and that it was OK. She used some very firm pressures and went back and forth for about a minute or more. When I wake up in the morning, the pain is worse until I empty my bladder. It feels like my bladder is bruised. I'm wondering if I should revisit urologists PA, and ask him if I'm being a cry baby or if this is a real concern?

Hi, guest.

If you are experiencing pain or discomfort related to the bladder ultrasound, it is important to contact your physician right away. Your physician can help assess the cause of the pain and determine the best course of action. Depending on the cause of the pain, treatments may include medication, physical therapy, lifestyle changes, or further examinations.

Have you been to your urologist yet?
