I'm scheduled for a complete da Vinci hysterectomy, bladder tack in mid July. What is the recovery like? I've had an ovary/tube removed 25 years ago and have a huge scar from that, which still hurts at times. This is supposed to be least evasive. Does anyone know or has anyone experienced this surgery? Thanks for the input!
I had a Da Vinci total hysterectomy on 6/19/12 and am glad I was able to go this route. I have had no vaginal bleeding or discharge. The incisions are minimal and require no care. The worst part is the first four days when you are passing the gas that they pump you up with. Once you are able to move your bowels, everything gets easier. The key is to walk, walk, walk! Good luck and post any additional questions.
