I have this same exact thing. It's been going on for 4 months now on and off. It seems to flare up when I get stressed out. The dr tried to tell me it's canker sores but I am 100% sure it's not. I went to another dr and he said its vitamin deficiency. I am a 24 year old female I would love to know what's causing my mouth to feel rough in the inside and causing these red patches to show up periodically.
When I went to my Dr the first time they said it might be a vitamin deficiency and sent me for blood tests. But everything came back fine.
First they said it might be a vitamin deficiency then when that wasn't the case they said it might be acid reflux and now that doesn't seem to be the case either. I don't even think they even know whats causing it :(
I also have had this red blocy rash inside my mouth. My doctor thought I had hand, foot, and mouth disease but it's back, so that eliminates that possiblity. I use Crest Pro Health as well! I noticed that this a commonality we all have. I'm going to stop using it and get back to you all. Thanks for the posts and hopefully it will dissipate.
I'm not sure if it is the toothpaste as I don't use Crest toothpaste at all.
I had this too, a red rash that had a rough texture to it, no pain or anything. Couldn't find anything online really if what it could be. It would die down and flare back up a bit, I ended up going to my dentist after a month because I was all worried it was something cancerous or bad. My dentist didn't seem too concerned about it he said it was just a passing virus. I do think it was related to stress as I had a lot of stress before it happened. I don't use crest. My symptoms lasted about 6 weeks, now my cheek is back to normal! I would just suggest eliminating stress, keeping your mouth clean and make sure you're getting enough vitamins and it should go away, that worked for me!
Thanks for the advice,
I've not noticed it much recently so hopefully it's dying down a bit and will eventually go away.
I'm having this same Issue on both sides of my Cheeks. It's been 6 weeks now and yes I'm alittle stress about it. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. I have Given myself high blood pressure so worried about this issue. Please tell me more about this.
There's not really more I can say about it apart from what I've already mentioned here. I don't have it as much these days just rare flare ups now and again. Never found out what it is was which is frustrating but don't think it's anything serious.
I took a Benadryl tablet and I also took a Zyrtec it start disappear right away so try that the next time it flare up. My doctor say it could have been allergic reaction to something are allergy .so I just took Benadryl for three days then I stop .I start taking Zyrtec three days after my symptom is going away very quickly.
Thanks for the info, I'll try that next time and see if it helps.
Hi I was just wondering have you had any high blood pressure problems with this issue?
No, I've not had any issues with high blood pressure as far as I am aware.
Soreness inside mouth often happens sometime due to excess heat in body..As per ayurvedic concept our foods can have hot or cooling effects on our body..whenever the soreness happens try to take lot of foods that have cooling effect on body like fresh fruits and juices, chilled low cream milk, fresh sprouts, apple cider vinegar, lkts of glasses of lemon juice with honey etc..avoid alcohol, high protein foods like meat, eggs ,fish and fried packaged snacks and foods..
Had the same thing it was an allergic reaction. Prednisone and Benadryl and pepsid ac cleared it right up
Just randomly started thinking about when I had this problem a few years back. Did you ever figure out what it was? I'm convinced we had the same thing. Mine has not returned since.
I didn't mention that mine seemed to be set off by acidic foods (vinegar in a salad, spicy soup). When I would eat these things, the inside of my mouth literally started peeling away. Then later, I would have the red streaks, rough feeling and pain.
I'm still wondering what it was!! I had it on and off for quite a while, maybe 6 months or so. Then it was gone and never returned.
